Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Each of us has different routines; for example, I typically work at night, and the sound of my mouse disturbs others who are trying to sleep. As a result, I ended up working on the balcony.

AustraliaIt wasn't very clean, there was a very active cockroach in the room (which means pest control wasn't done properly). Mould in the shower area (grout). There was no sleepers provided and no extra towels. The iron was broken and ironing board was very dirty. Not enough teabags supplied for 2 nights stay. No milk frother provided (though there was a small carton of milk in the fridge). No biscuit provided. The toilet seat was too small for the toilet so when you sit down you actually touched the ceramic area of the toilet under the toilet seat. The toilet seat cover would not keep up and kept falling down.
The room was spacious. The bed and pillows was comfortable, lobby was modern. Convenient location, have capsule coffee machine with 4 capsules provided. Washing machine and dryer was a bonus with ironing facilities was a bonus. Air conditioner works.

AustraliaParking was a bit of an issue, but Veriu assisted with discounted parking tickets from the Broadway Shopping Centre to ease the pain.
The location is great to get around inner Sydney. Close enough to walk to many places, and buses/trains easily accessible. The room was self contained so we could save money on breakfasts/lunches, and the washing machine and dryer were an added bonus.

But they solved the problem, even though it was the weekend that Taylor Swift was giving her concert in Sydney and almost everything was fully booked. The rooms were great and just as big as the pictures shown promised. Everything was clean and we slept very well.

AustraliaThe room was never cleaned in 7days. Linen was changed mid stay after I insisted. Room for three but only 2 water glasses and mugs provided (3 plates bowls and cutlery).
Large room with kitchenette well stocked with saucepans etc. Good location. Close to shops and lots of good restaurants and cafes. Clean towels and restocking of supplies provided on request or if you were lucky enough to collide with a cleaner.
