How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Location is great. Tram stops nearby and easy walk over the bridge to the restaurants along the Yarra river, DFO’s or a short trip the other way to Bourke St mall. Reception and staff were very friendly and helpful. Our kids loved the heated pool inside.

Very clean, smelt amazing on arrival, friendly staff that were more than happy to hold my items in storage for my course the next day and also help me with parking costs for my vehicle as the stay was longer than expected. They also allowed late checkout. My partner also very happy and already discussing our next stay there

During our stay the emergency fire alarm went off and we were required to evacuate our rooms. We Followed the emergency map instructions but when we reached the meeting point there was no staff to direct us or explain was happening. It was only from other guests we knew what the the next step was. Luckily it was a false alarm
Great location with everything in easy access to trains,trams and walking distance. We enjoyed food from room service and breakfast also hit the spot.

I liked everything about this hotel. The staff were very friendly and always there to help the buffet breakfast was beautiful. I was made feel like I’m matted and their service was exceptional.

Flinders St at night did not feel safe as a woman travelling alone. Staff did advise approaching hotel from the north at certain times of the night
Very secure once inside. Close to the City trams & train. Nice tea selection. Clean room. Close to shops & lots of food options. Glazed windows kept train & street noise out very well.

Only thing that had changed that I was unhappy about it the breakfast menu has been removed and replaced with a buffet.
Have stayed here before and was great as last time, Always friendly staff, super clean room, great view! Also the new rooftop bar is VERY nice!!

the breakfast buffet was great coming from a true Brit I love a cooked breakfast and australia has been lacking, but not Vibe hotel they were great.
the hotel was great, the roo and bathroom exelled expectations. i had a convosation with on lydia house keeper she was so helpful and kind. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay

Room was a touch smaller than advertised.
Great location for exploring downtown Melbourne and close to tram stops to explore further. The rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet. There was some construction occurring during our stay but this did not impact our comfort.

No ramp for suitcases on entry.
Great staff who were friendly and helpful. All requests were accepted to make our stay more comfortable. We asked for and received an early entry into our room which was much appreciated. We were able to store our suitcases and pick them up later. The facilities/room were excellent. The Rooftop Bar was great and had a fantastic view. Breakfast was very good.

The staff, service and room were excellent. The room was extremely comfortable and had a lovely view across the city out to the MCG. The buffet breakfast was very good as was dinner in the evening. The only downside of our stay was that we checked out the day before their new bar opened on the 22nd floor, we would loved to have visited it to see the view!

Being on the third floor and a corner suite it was very noisy from outside on the Friday evening, though didn't hear anything on Saturday. the TV also had an issue with the movies. 10 minutes into a movie it would say it had finished playing and then reset, no issue with the normal TV channels though
The staff were very friendly and efficient. The breakfast very good and comprehensive and the meal we had on Saturday evening was beautifully cooked and presented. The room was very comfortable, clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The location was great, being only 10 mins from Regent theatre where we were going to watch Wicked on Saturday, also only a short walk into the main area of the CBD
