Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThere was a lack of a main light in the room - small lights next to the bed and a desk light. Good for those who light mood lighting. Turned out the room was actually an interconnecting one, with a door to the room next door - which would have been nice to have been told. The shower booth lacked a door, so water did splatter everywhere on the ground. A choice of handheld shower head or rain shower, but water pressure was on the weak side.
Location wise, the hotel is central and close to a lot of great restaurants. The room was spacious, with plenty of room to move about. Bottle of complimentary still water was a great touch - much appreciated. Particular shout out to Trevor at reception who went above and beyond to make sure he explained everything during check in.

AustraliaThere was quite a bit of noise travelling from surrounding (& above) rooms. Probably very thin walls at the Voco (could even hear toilet flushes going off and cupboards/wardrobes & room doors being opened/shut :-( Also as there's a lot of construction all around the hotel area (all over the city of Brisbane actually!), it is very unattractive for the approach to the hotel and quite inconvenient when trying to cross the bridge to Southbank. Experienced quite a bit of traffic noise as well, especially at night with 'hoon'-like drivers. Not a very nice look for the city of Brisbane.
Easy and friendly check-in & check-out. Flexible with check-out time, which was helpful! Fabulous breakfast and in-room dining options. Very clean and hygienic overall. Great products in the bathroom.

AustraliaGreat location with CBD in walking distance. Option for on-site parking. We got an early check-in and late check-out which was very much appreciated. There is free popcorn in the lobby. Every receptionist we talked to was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

AustraliaOverall, what I expected for the price. The location was awful and parking was confusing. A lot of parking spots were reserved and we had to ring reception to ask about where to park. No one explained the parking situation prior to us going to park.
Outdoor pool however it had a clump of hair floating in it and in the drains.

AustraliaThe A/C which is unadjustable to individual guests needs. Not everyone enjoys 17°!!
The location and the staff were great. Great spot and central to activities. View from our room on 14 floor was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We had issues with the A/C which we could not adjust set at 17° and freezing in our room. We were upgraded to a suite where we could turn the A/C off which was then comfortable room temperature. Would definitely stay again.

Australia•Windows don’t open. •Got directions by clicking on the link in booking.com. We drove around in circles as we couldn’t get to the other side of the Noel where the car entrance was. Called the number and they couldn’t help, just kept telling us the suburb it was in, instead of the street name that would allow us access. Parked up a kerb to run in and staff weren’t very helpful and didn’t know the street name. Later they also didn’t know what Suncorp stadium was or how to get there?! It’s a few blocks away, I feel they should know this general info? Says there’s parking but we had to park blocks away and walk with our luggage. More precise information and knowledgeable staff would solve all of the issues we had. •The price compared to other places that are larger etc that I have since looked for our next stay in Brisbane
It was close to Suncorp stadium. The layout of the room was good and a good size. The blockout curtains and pelmets to allow the room to be black. It was also quiet.

United KingdomThe pool was cold and dirty I was charged for breakfast but was given the impression breakfast was included in on my stay. The breakfast was 38 dollars which is an awful lot of money. You have to pay 100 dollars deposit and I don’t even think I got my refund
It was nice to finally relax connect to the tv watch netflix or play spotify. I loved having my own fridge able to make my own drinks and watch the scenery

AustraliaThe parking lot beside the hotel is not suitable/ high enough for 4WD’s or large cars, there is parking a couple of blocks away but still isn’t overly high.
Voco hotel is very conveniently located to the CBD and walking bridge across to Southbank, the staff are super helpful and friendly.
