Very little. Being nitpicky, the driveway seemed a bit rocky, but we didn't get a puncture.

Great location. Only a few kms from the Kingscote town centre, but very secluded, with water views, wildlife on the property (heaps of wallabies, kangaroos and even an echidna) and nice sunsets. The home was spacious, well laid out and well equipped - very comfortable for our 3 night stay. The host gave excellent directions and we found the place very easily.

Everything, amazing location, privacy and the chance to relax and watch kangaroos, wallabies and even an echidna from the decking a total joy.

Really secluded, feels like you have the whole island to yourself! So much wildlife - magpies, wallabies, kangaroos, and an echidna who visited each evening, so lovely sitting on the deck any time of the day, but especially at dusk. Beautiful view from the large windows from the living space and bedroom. Easy to find, great instructions from the host, and a great central base to explore the island from, nothing was too far away - we travelled end to end over our 3 days and had plenty of time to take our time and see plenty of things.

The views were great, lots of wildlife around and plenty of space. Great shower, beds and comfy lounge. A shaded outdoor area was nice for alfresco dining.

Hard to find any fault

Peaceful, secluded location with wildlife to enjoy and beautiful outlook. House was lovely and warm (winter visit) when we arrived.

Stunning property surrounded by nature, clean and exceptionally well equipped. Simon the host was extremely accommodating and went above and beyond to make us comfortable.

All good. The microwave was no longer in service, I'm sure this would be temporary.

The location was excellent. Kangaroos and an echidna visited the grounds in the evening. Lovely sunsets overlooking the bay. a very relaxing private setting. Firewood was provided for the fireplace which was fantastic. It was good that it was a short drive to Kingscote where you can buy groceries at reasonable prices and eat out. We chose to eat in in the evening as there is a kitchen.

Foot access to the house is uneven and rocky - difficult for carrying luggage over and hard to navigate at night in the dark. the house could also have been cleaner.

The location and view. Simon the host was lovely. It was great having so many wallabies around and seeing an echidna.

Nothing. Yes, it was pricey-ish, but with that location, views and wild-life, it didn’t matter. The driveway was a bit rocky and there are a lot of mosquitoes. But nothing that is an issue.

Amazing location, with lovely views over the bay. The whole Retreat is so well put together. The local wild life is exceptional, you get to see Tamar Wallabies nearly all day, and with the spring time when we were there, the wallabies had baby joeys as well. We also saw two different echidnas in the front yard. Inside the house the two bedrooms are great. The main room (kitchen, dining and lounge) with the views over the bay, is a great set up. A contained wood fire, water filter are some of the highlights. I would stay here again absolutely.

Beautiful location. You feel like you are far removed from society but also not too far from Kingscote at the same time.

Uhm, err, ahhh. Wait a minute....! Nope.. loved it all...! Very feel good place with everything you need.

The location is superb. On the gentle rise of a hill, enough to see over the Wallaby's, the Kangaroos, the tree-scape and into the Bay Of Shoals and to the other side. Peaceful and quiet, a real retreat. Pleasantly well equiped and large roomy premises.

The property has lovely views of Shoal Bay which could be viewed from the verandah as well as inside the house. It was great to sit and watch the wallabies come out and play at sunset before settling down to graze later in the evening. If you left the blinds up at night you could lie in bed and count the stars through the large bedroom windows. At the bottom of the windows you could just make out the light from Cape Jervis lighthouse. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need for a very comfortable stay. My husband and I were extremely impressed with the whole experience and would certainly recommend the property

The property is very private, has a lovely view and good facilities for a few days away. It has a good hot shower and comfortable beds.

A bed in one bedroom was squeaky

Nice and tidy property with exceptional view. Very peaceful and quiet with kangaroos visiting in the evening.
