Australia1 review“Awesome”The warm freshly baked loaves of bread spread with butters and condiments compliments with the accommodation made for a very delicious breakfast. Sitting out on the deck from cabin 4 was so tranquil and relaxing after our hectic day of sightseeing. We will recommend to others and we will definitely return.

The cabins set amongst native shrubs & bush - lots of bird life. Four cabins but set well apart & private. Comfy bed. Hot homemade bread delivered to your door in the morning. Alpacas & Emus on the property.

We didn't find the bed and lounge to be very comfortable but apart from this we really enjoyed our stay at Watervale Retreat.
Continental breakfast was good. Especially liked the homemade bread delivered in the morning for breakfast. Location was good, easy access to the other parts of the Clare Valley that we like to visit.

An excellent base for exploring the charming Clare Valley. quiet peaceful setting but not too far from all that the region has to offer. The cabin has everything that you need and we were very comfortable. We were also greeted by two inquisitive emus ( on the other side of the fence) A highlight was the loaf of home made bread delivered to the room each morning. The owners are very nice people. They leave you to your privacy but are very kind and thoughtful..and even forgiving after we made a stupid mistake! We would happily return to both the accommodation and the Clare as were liked it best of the SA wine regions.

We were provided with everything needed for nice breakfast and a comfortable stay. The cottages weren't too close to each other so the evenings were quiet for a good night's sleep in a bush land environment. Easy drive to local shops and attractions.
