Loved the historical era accommodation, the opportunity to sleep in a beautiful 4 poster bed that was so comfortable, everything was thoughtfully put together to provide a unique experience

A very nice place to stay, styled in step with the historical part of town.

We stayed in the old bakehouse building, which was fiddly to lock and unlock.

A fresh loaf of bread and basics to make a breakfast of our choice. Kitchen was good and the available pots and pans were more than usually provided. Basic range of cooking oil and sauces as well which was great.

    That we didn’t stay longer!!!!

The cottage had a warm and inviting feel to it. It was clean and very spacious. We were surprised how big the bungalow was. 6 of us were very comfortable there and not on top of each other. The care taker was an absolutely lovely person and let us drop our bags off to the property way earlier than check in. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful ample breakfast that was laid out for us and it catered for all of us including fresh baked bread for toast, cereals and milk and bacon and eggs plus spreads. The property had a lovely courtyard and deck out the back for relaxing. We will be recommending this property to all our family and friends.

It felt a bit dark and claustrophobic due to the layout.

It’s a very cute little place , the bed was amazingly comfortable and loved the outside area. The host was also very lovely and accomodating.

There was a lot of memorabilia in the house which looked lovely but is obviously hard to keep dust free and clean looking. We were unable to use the dryer during our stay, but I'm sure this was rectified after letting the owner know.

Our host was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was supplied and refreshed each day and was amazing. The cottage was old and beautifully restored. There was a lovely courtyard for enjoying the afternoon sun and cooking on the BBQ.

House was gorgeous and there were lots of beautiful little period ornaments and furnishings. As many others have mentioned, the baked goods provided on arrival were delicious. Location was lovely and we enjoyed walking on the common and around the village. We had dinner in the local pub. The service was friendly and accommodating and food was excellent, with large portions.
