How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Although the unit was clean, the carpet probably needs a good steam clean. A bit noisy with car traffic.
The property was spacious- light and bright. Bed was comfortable. Limited view because of the Langham towers. However, everything worked and we enjoyed our stay

Bed and sofa were very uncomfortable. Kitchen and bathroom were very unclean, and the remainder of the apartment was in poor condition. Windows didn't close and were covered in mould

Lovely apartment right next to the beach and easy transport links around the Gold Coast. Lovely pool and bbq area. Staff were helpful and friendly. Great base for a holiday.

Noise from the hallway can be heard on the apartment on ground floor. However, Lillian and the team kindly moved us to a better room on a different floor.
Great location, just a few steps away from the beach. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

For a 7 night say I would have personally appreciated a top up of a few things mid week eg dishwasher tablet,laundry powder, tea towel etc
Great location for what we wanted. Lovely pool and friendly staff. Excellent facilities in the apartment and felt really spacious. We loved the pool after a lots of days out and beach visits.

Internet issues which they are trying to resolve.
Location and staff were very helpful. Lovely people. Issues with the internet which they were tying to fix. Good place for a family holiday and not as expensive as other resorts. Still within easy reach to Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach.

We had an intermittent issue with the WIFi connection.
Great location - it was close to the beach and 2o minutes' walk to Cavill St. The apartment was immaculately clean and very spacious. Our apartment was ocean view which was a fantastic view day and night. It provides a secure parking. The manager Lilian was very friendly and helpful. Easy check in and out process. Highly recommended and we'll definitely go back there again and again.

The room was quite musty as soon as we turned the A/C off. The vacuum was quite old, but these were very minor issues. The pool was a lot smaller than we expected.
We had a great stay. A home away from home kind of feeling and the property was perfect for what we needed. The smart TV was really good. Location was spot on, close enough to Surfers and Broadbeach but nice and quiet. The staff were really lovely and kind. Secure car parking was a relief as we had a rental car the whole time. Kitchen and laundry facilities in the room were really good. Overall would recommend to people considering this property.

Not really a dislike, nor a criticism, but the apartments could do with a little update/modernising just to give that extra fresh feel.
Our 2nd stay here. A mile south of Surfers, this is an ideal location. A quiet spot and easy to get to Surfers either with a 20min walk or taking the tram that is a 5min walk from apartment. A spacious and comfortable apartment, with decent views. Onsite staff very welcoming and friendly. Parking (directly underneath) is safe and secure.
