Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomHonestly there was nothing that could really be improved with the accommodation, it was great. I think the only think we wish had with us was a drying like or something as once things got wet we struggled for places to dry them.
Wildwood was an idyllic accommodation for us, we wanted something that felt like part of the natural surroundings and it felt just like that, but while also being comfortable and practical. Our hosts were really friendly and made us feel very welcome as well as giving us tips for the area. We stayed in Black Bean cabin which had a fantastic view out into the rainforest and overlooked a little creek which serenaded us to sleep each night. For practical purposes, we were a couple and took food to have a cooked meal each day for four days, as well as snacks and drinks. The fridge is a decent size but we also had a cool box to store things that didn't need to go in the fridge such as potatoes. Everything we needed to cook and clean was there including a really good gas bbq. You can drink the water in the cabin too. The location is great for accessing everything north of Daintree River and we easily did all the boardwalks, ocean safari and Cooper creek cruises all within a short drive / walk.

CanadaBeautiful location surrounded by rainforest, fruit trees, and birds really immerses you in the wilderness experience. The cabin has ample space to spread out for a couple, enjoy the views and enjoy simple meals. The bed was comfortable and bathroom well equipped to clean up after hikes and snorkeling. We only prepared simple breakfasts, for which the facilities were perfect, but you'll need to plan ahead, bring more items and get creative for bigger meals. Meals on the veranda were so much fun. The unit was very clean considering its location and all the netting, windows, etc were very effective at keeping the bugs outside.

Breakfast was not provided but there was fresh fruit from the orchard. The hosts were exceptional in their organisation prior to arrival, the information provided prior to arrival, the friendliness and text message on arrival and their help with whatever we needed. Could not recommend it more!

AustraliaI guess it wasn't tropical fruit season, I read about fruit platters and orchard tours but there was no offer. It would have been nice to have fresh towels each day without asking as it was pretty wet and nothing was drying.
Location was only 5 minutes drive to township. Bbq on verandah was great for breakfast. Very clean and comfy bed. Super helpful advice from hosts regarding local activities and food. ie coopers creek wilderness ocean safari and solar whisperer, buy food from Mossman, turtle cafe great.

AustraliaNot much. The only thing I can think of is that there are quite a few mosquitoes in the evening which makes it a bit harder to enjoy the outdoor spaces.
Wildwood was the perfect base for exploring Cape Tribulation and the Daintree Rainforest. Our family of five which included three teenager daughters loved it. The property is private and spacious with multiple spaces for relaxing. We felt like we had the forest to ourselves yet everything was only a walk or 2 minute drive away. We would love to visit again!

Australiagiven the price of the room, the lack of a sink (other than the bathroom) for washing up inside the cabin was a bit disappointing. a few of the windows and skylights didn’t have blinds, which meant there was light in the morning and a few of the window louvres didn’t shut (but this wasn’t an issue as the fly screen is in reasonably hood condition), and the couch wasn’t particularly comfortable. it also would have been nice to have umbrellas in the room to borrow during our stay. the tea bags in the tea container had cross contaminated (black and peppermint) and gotten a bit mildewy given the dampness in the air. you need to drive to all facilities except the cassowary restaurant at ferntree lodge (which did a great dinner), but that’s the price you pay for the amazing setting.
the location - right on the creek - was absolutely amazing and our cabin (black bean) felt very isolated from the other cabins. the walk around the property was challenging in parts, but well designated by markers on the trees and a great way to see the rainforest. bed, blankets and pillows were comfortable and bathroom spotlessly clean. having fruits of the orchard in the room was a nice touch.

AustraliaI felt that a bit more attention to property maintenance would have enhanced the overall look and feel. Fly wire on the windows definitely needs replacing to keep mosquitoes at bay. Checking that the previous guests had washed the cutlery etc would also be nice.
The location was very special! Loved the beautiful surroundings. Great access to the reef. Ocean Safari did a fabulous tour. The fruit that was left to try was delicious

New ZealandIt was difficult to get a consistent temperature in the shower. Ice for cold drinks would have been nice and a fan on the verandah where we spent most of our time. We hadn't read the information clearly enough when booking and didn't realize that the pool was only for the house guests. I think that could have been made clearer on the website. However we did go to the local swimming holes, and loved it, particularly Emmagen creek.
Loved the cabin in the rainforest, with a loop walk, and a tropical fruit orchard. The tropical fruit we ate were interesting and we liked the information provided. We loved the way we were encouraged to pick and try the fruit. The view of the garden was captivating with fruit bats, birds and butterflies to watch. The cabin itself was cooled well with its situation but the stream and the fans. We were pleased not to have air con. The bed was very comfortable and we had most if what we needed.

AustraliaThe only problem was the shower door did not have a trim on the bottom so we ended up having a soaking bathroom floor when showering.
The cabin was amazing! So private and peaceful. 3 minutes from the CBD. Very comfortable with all of the cooking equipment we needed. The owner was very friendly and brought us more supplies for around the fire cooking. There was a private forest walk which we didn't go on incase we came across any snakes but it's a great idea to offer this to guests as an alternative to busy tourist walks. The white wine we bought was very moreish 😄 We would recommend to anyone.

AustraliaWhat a gem in the rainforest. We really enjoyed our stay at Wildwood. Our cottage was clean, quiet and comfortable. The cottage has a BBQ and small stove to cook on so fresh food only, also the washing up has to be done outside. This was unexpected for us but we loved it. I would highly recommend this accommodation to my friends and family. The private rainforest walk on the property is a little hilly but good exercise.
