Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe wash basin in the room had a sign saying not to use the taps. The balcony has been closed off by an a/c unit and now home to lots of pigeons. The shared bathroom hasn't been updated in years, so it felt a little creepy. Whilst the carpet was new & the bedding comfortable & clean in the budget room, there were big cracks in the walls & ceiling and lots of creaking in the floors so I'm thinking upstairs accommodation needs some attention in maintenance.
After camping for 2 weeks, it was great to stop in at the Wilmo for a night with a hot shower & a comfy bed. The pub had a country town vibe with locals stopping in for meals & drinks. We enjoyed our meals in the pub rather than the dining room & played some pool. The Wilmington is located really close to Mt Remarkable National Park with the turn off to Alligator Gorge just up the road.

AustraliaRoom was not clean and for a family stay was far from the bathroom. Was woken several times early in the morning by banging on our door from other kids in the hotel that I believe belonged to the owner/manager. Ball got stuck in pool table during our game and my son helped solved the problem but then the manager/owners child kept disrupting our game by knocking balls down. Didn’t even get offered money for another game when owner/manager was advised.
The entertainment on the night and the meals were exceptional!

AustraliaWould have been good to have had a TV in the room or a TV in the upstairs lounge.
The Wilmington is a great Country pub. The food is typical pub food, with large servings. The rooms are basic, clean and comfortable. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Loved sitting out on the front verandah.

AustraliaIt's a country pub, so shared facilities were expected and they were clean though they could use an upgrade for sure. The owners have created a nice little guest lounge with fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and a microwave. Next they need to add a TV, bookshelves and maybe some games for families travelling through. And at least one more sofa in the room would be good if there are a few more guests.

AustraliaVery basic room with shared bathroom facilities. Old building that creaks, but decent. There is a kettle and microwave, but in a common room.
Staff were lovely and helpful. Comfy enough for an overnight stay when passing through.

AustraliaShared shower and toilet along the corridor. Room was directly above the public bar. It was incredibly loud with blaring music and drunken patrons in the carpark. Quite dated decor.
Conveniently located. Good counter meals. Private dining room and sitting room with coffee making facility.

ColombiaIt is not that I did not like it, but obviously a pub hotel in a small town is OLD, and the facilities are not renovated :) So very basic accommodation. But that was what I expected, and it was a comfy stay. And very cheap, even though price was not attracted me there.
Excellent, laid-back staff. Great evening meal with traditional pub fare with a group of friends. I was the only over-night stayer that night, being mid-week in slow season.

AustraliaWhilst it isn’t that we didn’t like , we need to admit we are getting older & stairs can be a challenge. We just took our time & loved the staircase.
We enjoyed our lovely evening meals in the bar area & chatted with other interesting dining guests. Quaint old country hotel to transport back in time. Bonus sitting room to enjoy coffee. Pity we didn’t find it until just about to leave 😂Hope to allow more time next time to explore the town & have another meal & drink.
