The feral goats destroying the native plants outside the guests accommodation. The long wait for dinner to be served. Understaffed in the restaurant. Breakfast foods slow to be replenished. Sometimes none left at all.

The path/track to our tent was not well lit. A long walk to the restaurant (20 minutes)

We stayed in a Glamping tent which was extra roomy and allowed us to unload most of our travel gear. It was cold at night but the heating provided in the tent was adequate, Tents were well spaced so we weren't on top of our neighbours.

The fact my trip schedule was so tight I couldn't stay longer to do some more hiking in this section of the Flinders Ranges!

The place is a bit pricey but it's a resort and if you travel on your own you pay the whole price alone. Apart from that the location is just amazing, just underneath the Mt. Ohlsen Bagge which is almost a must for any true hiker or mountaneer (not to be underestimated, though!). The place offers so many hiking opportunities or just to enjoy nature, the room was big and cosy and the food in the restaurant was amazing!

Breakfast (that was included in our rate), had enough options, but, in our experience, was often depleted. Staff were trying their best to refill & attend to people’s requests though.

Beautiful part of Australia with accomodation options from camping to holiday units, that we stayed in. Very quiet. Comfy bed. Modern bathroom. Hot showers. Restaurant close by. Happy hour! Watching a yellow footed rock wallaby hop by our room, a kookaburra sing, emus on the roadside, kangaroos a plenty & stunning scenery that changed with the daylight hours.

We stayed in a self-catering Edeowie Unit, but unfortunately it was not a corner unit and was fully exposed to the afternoon sun. Although the outside temperatures were only in the low 20c range we had to close all the inside curtains to control the heat in the room, and couldn't sit out on our unshaded terrace.

Location is fantastic for exploring Wilpena Pound and the Flinders Ranges in general. The Resort stay included a very generous breakfast selection. The local walks were easy to access and provided plenty of opportunity to enjoy the local environment.

I thought breakfast was particularly average. No muesli for two days and the scrambled eggs had been sitting there for a long time.

We stayed in the Ikira tents and I loved them. So very quiet, great bed and piping hot shower in the coolish mornings.

Wilpena Pound Resort is the perfect location to visit the Flinders Ranges with lots of scenic drives and walks that is suitable to all. The room was nice and comfortable and clean. We dined at the restaurant and eat local specialties and enjoyed the buffet breakfast.

Trying hard to think of something we didn’t like!

The “resort” style rooms were set in a lovely garden with natives that attracted birds and wallabies at sunset. Gorgeous! Great outdoor seating area for morning coffee and night star gazing. Good chef in the restaurant, very happy with all our meals and reasonably priced. All staff were lovely. Fabulous to see the property is being run by local countrymen. IGA and fuel on site so convenient! Rooms a bit pricey but kind of understandable considering remote location.

We really liked the set up at Wilpena pound. Our room was really quite spacious, light and bright and and perfectly located with parking in front of it, and was quick walk to both the restaurant area and the shop. The menu at the restaurant was good and the food we tried was hearty and delicious.The walks around the Pound started opposite and there were quite a good choice to do. go for a few days and enjoy nature!We saw kangaroos, echidnas, lizards, Emus and lots of birdlife.

Television needs updating, description suggested that there was satellite channels however could only access three free to air. Sleep function would’ve been great. Power points are installed to low as anything with a bulky plug like iPhone charger wouldn’t fit due to bench. Dining in the restaurant was noisy, could make one of the dining areas a little more intimate.

Property was comfortable and well laid out. Food was good and reasonably priced.

Unit was out dated curtains didn’t close properly had to put a chair across to try to keep them closed but had the outside light shining inside all night. No bin inside and shower tape dripped Cost per night is twice the price to anywhere else and outdated

Room was very clean and comfortable, with a double bed, two single beds and private bathroom. Resort restaurant and bar were very good. We had breakfast included which was great. Visitors centre had lots of information and the store was well stocked. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We did the gorges tour which was beautiful and Uncle Mick was a fantastic guide, being both extremely knowledgeable and very entertaining. The scenic flight over the Wilpena Pound was also excellent and gave a spectacular view of the amazing landscape. Lots of nature to see with many kangaroos, emus, wallabies, eagles and other birds.

My key didn't work on arrival to the safari tent so I had to wait to be changed over- not a huge problem and staff/ manager both very helpful and I was given a courtesy drink for the trouble. i get the sense this resort really cares about the customers.

Great view and amazing surrounds. The huge trees, the wildlife, and the hike into the Pound are all incredible. Loved the welcome to country given in the late afternoon outside reception. The reception staff were helpful. My safari tent was great, good aircon, nice bed and good shower. It was quite windy and hot while I was there in December but the tent was fine with a small deck to sit outside. Breakfast great as was dinner. The restaurant is really amazing.

The safari tents are a bit tired and dated but comfortable enough.

Breakfast was ok - not gourmet but buffet was acceptable Dinner meals were great. Very big serves so if you don’t eat much I suggest you share!
