How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There was nothing we didn’t like
The little touches like the beer on arrival, charging station, selection of tea and coffee and toiletries. The owner is super friendly. Little things that make a good stay great!

All good.
Excellently located and perfectly clean. The kitchenette and bathroom were thoughtfully equipped and supplied. I liked the choice of pillows and the little touch of having them labelled.

I couldn't fault the accommodation.
The rooms were clean, great size, heating, air-conditioning and all the complimentary toiletries you would receive in a large motel. Offered different pillows.... comfy lounge chairs and bed. Fantastic shower with rain head parking at door with small Foodworks across the road. Located In main street with everything in walking distance for dining. Hosts very friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

It was lovely to arrive and find daffodils flowering by the front door of our room. The room was very comfortable and extremely clean. It was an excellent location with lovely eateries a few doors up and a farmer's market on Sunday.

Nothing much to dislike. Tiny bit chilly in the bathroom but that was about it,
Location was great. Facilities were excellent. It was particularly nice to have a shower that actually worked and wasn’t a fine spray in a tiny box 😊. Loved it.

The owners of the motel are so lovely and the location is perfect. The room was comfortable and clean with some nice bathroom amenities and an excellent shower.

Location was great, right in the heart of town. Easy short walk to cafes and pubs. Quiet location too as Yackandandah isn't a late night party town. Very clean, well appointed rooms. Will stay again.

The room was fresh and clean. Great shower. It had the nice touches like a basket of high quality easter eggs. Although narrow the car park was easily manageable. Location is very convenient in the middle of town. Staff are very approachable and helpful. I'd stay hear again in a flash.

Signage could be improved - the sign for the motel does not say Yackandandah Central (just Motor Inn). Supplied crockery could usefully also include some breakfast bowls.
Good location off the main street, parking at the door.

The size of room, the decorations attention to little detail with nice bright colours on bedding and photos and kitschy coloured deer heads at each door. There was also quality bathroom soap, body wash etc in the bathroom and a larger size kitchenette.

We liked everything about the town and the motel, great hosts, location and facilities.
The location was right in the middle of the main street which was great as pubs, cafes and other services were easy to walk to. There was no breakfast provided but the pubs, cafes and bakeries were open in the morning and there was plenty of food and beverage choices. It is a beautiful historic town and well worth visiting and our hosts were very friendly and helpful and we can't wait to visit again.

There was nothing we didn’t like!
This property is exceptionally clean, their detailed thought about what their guests need to make their stay extra comfortable is outstanding. Various pillow types- covered, electric blanket - covered. sewing kit, shaving kit, make up remover - covered. Don’t like the reverse cycle on while sleeping? that’s covered too with another electric heater available. The location was perfect for us and they even personally take you to your room. Would definitely visit this property again.
