How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

A bitnof a walk from town but we didn't mind. Rooms are hot during the day because a/c is on a timer (room was cool at night though). Lots of spiders in the gardens (wife is arachnophobic)but they keep to themselves
Sturdy beds with power and USB in each bed. Very cool (breezy) inside are with heaps of space. Nice outside area. Great wifi!

Parking can be a bit confusing, especially if it's a busy season. but the staff clarify that for us in a second, giving us options for where to park.

bigger house for more guests, fridges need upgrading to proper industrial and freezer, not enough room. A couple of vending machines for nibbles and drinks. Parking is a bit of an issue.
Friendly, helpful staff. Very relaxing place. Clean and well presented. The greeting was fantastic, well presented, and cheerful.

Amazing space located across two floors, happy & friendly owners, comfortable mattresses, there's ping pong table and darts. Well furnished, great location and would definitely stay here again.

Nothing!
Well I planned my trip driving from Brisbane to Cairns and decided to stop in Yeppoon for 1 night just to break up driving (no other purpose to be there). I looked on booking.com and just grabbed whatever was the cheapest. Well I was super lucky because this place was so nice!! First off the owner, I didn’t catch his name, but he was so lovely. The facilities were so nice and so clean - big kitchen downstairs with 2x bathrooms (an actual room with shower, toilet,sink and mirror - I spent about 2 hours in there doing all of my beauty things!!! Not usual to get a nice bathroom like this in a hostel so had to take advantage haha!). Also the 2nd bathroom was bigger and for disability use. Kitchen nice and big and clean, open plan into a living area with sofas and TV. Then upstairs was all open plan, small kitchen but still everything you need and an oven! Free tea and coffee. Loads of seating areas, laundry and 2x toilet 2x shower. The room was so nice, bunk beds properly built into walls, all had a privacy curtain, came with pillow, sheet, blanket and towel and aircon was lovely and cool. It really was a lovely little stay and great find! Couldn’t believe it was only $35 per night. Would recommend in a heartbeat! :D

Probably the best 'hostel' I've ever stayed in. Lovely atmosphere, really nice decor and very clean. More like a house share than a hotel or hostel. Really big, comfortable communal area. Lovely private room. Dorms looked good too. Nice showers and toilets. Would definitely stay again.

Nothing to dislike!
Fantastic place, didn't even feel like staying in a hostel. Really welcoming staff and they gave a tour of the place. Towels provide and a super comfy bed. Free coffee and tea which as a brit i live to a cuppa in the morning. Would highly recommend.

For that price not much l didn't like.
I needed a bed after a long drive and price was very cheap for the cleanliness and we'll equipped room! Though the amenities were shared they were very cleanand modern!

I only stayed there for one night!
To say this place was labelled as a "hostel" almost feels like an insult. It felt more like an upscale bed and breakfast, with modern furnished rooms and pristine bathrooms! The beds were clean and very comfortable, each with their own private curtain and charging points for your phone, laptop, etc. The atmosphere was also really warm and welcoming, with a laid-back vibe. James, the owner was also very welcoming and friendly throughout my short stay!

Everything was great
