How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The apartment is great the only downfall is the cleaning condition, The carpets are stained and giving unpleasant feeling that you can't walk barefoot also the sofa pillows releasing feather all over the carpet which not helping with the overall cleaning looks. The aircon can't cool the apartment on a hot days, only when temp outside cool down it starts to cool down. We arrived mid Jan and we had a few high 30*c days.
Location was great, the parking was a bit narrow to fit in but managed. the staff helped with every inquiry, such as extra plates and pots to be able to cook, or to check the aircon when we thought it wasn't cool enough. The cleaning lady was helpful as well, unfortunately she came twice a week and we were short in basic staff such a bin liner.

Carpet in very poor condition and dirty. Only one outside chair. Very noisy when windy under front door
Location was great, our apartment faced the city. Comfortable bed, aircon was great. Great kitchen facilities

Apartment really needs a good scrub. Surface is clean, beds are clean etc. It's the walls, doors etc that really need attention.

Nothing to complain about
Very comfortable for two couples with two ensuite bathrooms, living and dining and a fairly good kitchen. Great location with super comfortable beds.

The carpets and the tiles throughout the apartment were disgusting. Kitchen was very light on in regards to no salt and pepper, minimal kitchen utensils etc

The clothes drier was very noisy, the shower head in the main bathroom kept falling, also the fan in the same bathroom didn't work
Close to everything in the city, fast wifi, the beds were comfortable. Really nice fridge.

The unit is a bit tired and can do with an upgrade and carpet replacement. but overall it was good. especially for the price. The charge of $28 per day for parking was a bit rich especially as other people partially blocked the street with their unauthrorised kerb side parking.
On first arrival we thought we had made a mistake and the property may have been less than expected. After walking the area and reference to Google maps we found it was fine, especially as we were there for only one night. Off site reception is a pain when time is pressing or you need action (eg. we had noisy tenants next door who failed to respond to requests for quiet and reception could not do anything out of hours)

Some minor maintenance that has been shared with the staff.

Maintenance is not getting the attention is should. Toilet seats broken in both bathrooms. Kitchen tools missing. Carpet was spot stained. the absence of employee on site meant that uncontrolled noise from some apartments was a nuisance and missing or faulty appliances meant they did not get attention during our stay. The cleaner was helpful but she can only do so much
Location was OK and we could walk to many restaurants nearby. We had a car and arranged parking underneath the building. Supermarkets and sightseeing venues were reasonable close with the car. Unsatisfactory without a car. beds were comfortable and two bathrooms was great.
