How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Noise outside our apartment was so loud, right next to other buildings ac units, so lots of noise, especially in bedroom, so made it hard to sleep. Windows needs to be double glazed to reduce the noise

Always a pleasure to check-in at Zara Tower. Very stylish and spotless clean apartments near railway station and between hyde park, surry hills, thaitown/chinatown with good restaurant options. From Sky Apartments balcony beautiful city view to Sydney Tower Eye. Nespresso coffee, tea, milk and drinking water offered daily. To Circular Quay it takes a 30 min walk or with tram departing at Chinatown Station 10 min. Staff is super friendly and very kind.

Fresh milk in the room and a TV in the main bedroom. Buiding works (cant be helped but were loud.)

The only niggle was our sister in laws shower was a little lacking in power ,just a dribble in some instances and also was prone to sudden extremes of temperature, but apart from that minor hiccup it was great
Everything. From the moment we arrived ,the front of house staff were amazing. Nothing was a problem, and everything that was asked was answered with bells on. The apartment was clean, and kept immaculate by the housekeeping staff who did a fantastic job. This was the best stay of our 6 weeks down under. My wife was blown away by the pillow menu as she is very fussy with them and we were both extremely comfortable.

The curtains around the bed aren’t opaque, so there’s no real privacy if travelling with friends.
Staff were incredibly lovely, the apartment was large and really clean. Very comfortable.

The delay to retrieving our car from the stacker carpark was the only issue but reasonable since our car is a larger one to manoeuvre and when the front desk were busy checking in a number of other guests simultaneously.
We stayed at in a Luxury Soho Suite, and it was fabulous! Check in and check out were very smooth, staff were great in communicating any details and were always smiling and happy to help. Loved the decor of the soho suite - such a cool industrial vibe, very different to our own home, but so glamorous and spacious our kids still had their own space despite the suite being open-plan. Being able to chose from a selection of pillows was an added touch; we have never before slept so well in a bed that’s not our own! Will be staying at Zara Tower the next opportunity we return to Sydney! Thanks to all the staff that made our stay wonderful.

My stay was what I had expected very nice hotel great friendly staff my room was always cleaned and bed was made by the staff at Zara. I have no regrets would definetly stay again but i will this time try to get a room with a much better view.

All good but intercom not really work properly! But the hotel is good most specially the staff!
The hotel is new and good!! All the staff are friendly most specially the receptionist ! I do love all but i was cant for get all the receptionist who always great and help us always! Great job guy! Highly recommend to all my friends will come to Sydney! I probably come back!

The light in the room is not enough, especially we have a child to read book at night. Staffs help to bring lamp to make it better.
The staffs are perfect! All of them are very helpful and eager to offer help. They greet you every time you go out or cpme back. Very nice experience. The location is perfect, the room is big and comfortable. Walking distance to famous spots. Easy to grab taxi, bus and subway.
