Stayed in garden studio, doors very hard to open and close, and to lock. Doors have to be pushed hard and carefully to ensure they close without coming off the hinges. Upstairs beds also a worry - no railings in place with a slippery surface in clothings

The location was beautiful, very close to the harbour. The room itself was very cute with decorations and the design and the house is quite nice with shared kitchen and bathroom

Booked the smallest bedroom which was difficulty to access and was right in between two large rooms. Could hear people 1m away from the bed when laying down talking and fighting with each other.

It was very very hot in the room and the fan just wasn’t enough. There was 1 bathroom for all guests and the people who live there that always seemed to be in use.

Older style bathroom in the house, not a hugely big issue given the location and affordability.

Incredible location and very clean bedroom newly painted and fresh bed linen. Door locks for privacy. A good night's sleep. The rest of the house is an older style share accommodation with 1960s type bathroom and kitchen. A really lovely courtyard. I probably would stay here again if needed.

Co-manager 1st night stay waited over hr get room. Didn’t have my key in locker, Steve told me big room was mine then some guy came in room.Told Steve but his co-manager tried let me pay 150 for their foil up. Again. Thanks to Steve didn’t had to.

Steven manager a great guy BUT his commonage is ANOTHER STORY.Cleaning lady was great did swell job give her a raise.like can walk down to harbor in less than 5 mins good location.

the apartment is very dirty, you can find a grinder in a cupboard where there are pans, the cutlery is very poorly cleaned, many flies, spiders with cobwebs in the kitchen, the bathroom is very dirty, the walls of the entire house are as well maintained as an abandoned house, I'm not yet talking about the kitchen floor, but hey I have photos so I'll let you form your own opinion on the floor

Old house in urgent need of repair (please refer to the photos). I had very decent Hotel with Private Bathroom in Melbourne CBD area, which cost me less per night in comparison with this Room with Shared Bathroom, so I am disappointed overall.

Great location: Two stops ferryboat ride from Circular Quay station in quiet neighborhood. Travelers with heavy suitcases: bare in mind you will have to climb multiple stairs if arriving by ferryboat.

The bathroom was dirty and smelled bad, walls and the door had brown smears on them, there was a dead cockroach by the toilet. The kitchen was dirty as well, the stove had stains of food on it that looked like they were there for a very long time. I understand that it’s an old house, but it looks like the place needs some basic renovations.

The bedroom was very comfortable and clean, the atmosphere in the room was pleasant. Love the location.

1. They didn't notice in advance that the entrance of the room is at the other side of the property, and I have to walk on the street to another entrance to go inside the property to use the toilet. 2. They also didn't notice in advance that the path to the room is under construction working, and it's totally dangerous to climb down at night or daytime to the toilet. 3. I didn't know that the room is just the "entrance hall" and the size only can put a bed. The description page shows nothing. I even can't climb up the bed if no one helps to push my buttom. 4. The policy shows that we need to be quiet from 10pm, but next door is making lots of loud noises until 2am. 5. I received all the things above just 18 minutes before check in time, and the room can't be canceled. 6. They put efforts to decorate the rooms. ***The price of the room is not worth to the conditions, or just let us know in advance, not cheating the customer.

The only ways Zion could improve would be if they provided coffee and tea supplies :) and if check in was earlier than 3:00pm. We have had earlier check in accommodated for us in the past though which was much appreciated:)

Location is beautiful :) great value for money, relaxed owner and environment. We have stayed there many times and will be back again :)

The room we rented was filthy and seemed to be untidy from the bed to the pillow. Looks like it was only folded and fixed from the last time it was used. Worse part of staying the place was when I was having a micro nap, the owner broke in just to ask and confirm my booking in the middle of my rest. When in fact, before that happened, we both met at the kitchen and I told him I was in the room 1Y. So, If he does want to know my confirmation, he could have just called the Name under the booking instead of breaking inside or check it from the system. I just find it inappropriate and unacceptable. UNSAFE AND I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

I'd never stay in this place ever again even if they pay me to. None of the things posted online are realistic and true

I'm thinking of going to the police, I stood there in slack jawed amazement ad the guy showed me the cupboard on the side of his house that had a mattress in it. No floor it was nothing like the photos, I'm having trouble finding the words still in shock . it was 2m square , and his kids were laughing at me and being noisy on other side of the wooden wall. I asked for my money back straight away. No he said. Sorry and ran inside. Unbelievable truly.

The ants on the bed. People knocking on door at 2am. The height of the bed. Slippery dangerous stairway. There needs to be another way to access the bathroom rather then walking out of the property into a public street.

The room was tiny, no window for ventilation, maybe not an issue during winter but it was a very hot day & it got very stuffy overnight (we had to open the door several times through the night to get air!). For $189/night, it really wasn’t what we expected.

It’s advertising as a deluxe hotel room when it’s a share house. I got moved to another property which was a shared house which I didn’t want. Another person had not checked out and after explaining my concerns with the fact they still had a key I didn’t feel safe. Not great for solo female travellers. I didn’t even stay here. I want a refund
