Some blocks from the beach so no view, but very acceptable for the price.

Very clean facilities. Im quite picky and had no trouble at all using the bathroom, kitchen or bedroom, hotel-grade bed sheets, shower and wc working perfectly. Estrelle and all the staff were very kind, even giving us a room upgrade at no extra cost, taking care of our luggage after our check out while we spent some time at the beach. Nice pool.

The bed was slightly uncomfortable for 6 days, even adding a small mattress pad would make this stay a 10 out of 10 for me.

It was a beautiful stay, we enjoyed how close we were to everything. The entire staff was absolutely amazing, and catered to our every need.

Accommodations are simple, pool is small, kitchen is minimal equipped with no hot water at the sink. It was fine for us but if you want a fully equipped kitchen this is not it. No toaster, no microwave, few pans, dull knives.

The property is very dated. It appears like they try to maintain it but with little money maybe. Everything is a bit mix matched. The stairs to the second floor are extremely steep and the furniture is not really comfortable (patio furniture in the living room and two single beds with a large gap in the middle as the queen which were very hard). The shower also leaks and it’s impossible to adjust the water temperature in the shower.

The staff are really what made it for us. They were very friendly, helpful and accommodating (except for the security guard). The pool was the highlight for our kids. We were also able to learn about the cashew tree and saw several lizards and iguanas. It is an ideal location if you are wanting to travel the island as it is away from the big resort/cruise ship area but easy to get to places with a car. There is a locked area with a security guard at night for your vehicle which was good, however there never was any point on the island when we felt unsafe. The air conditioning worked well and the kitchen had everything we needed.

A minor point, but there was no sponge, drain plug or dishsoap provided for doing dishes and cleaning up the kitchen. You need to pay an additional fee which seems a bit odd. Our apartment did not come equipped with a microwave which would have been nice to have.

Excellent staff. Very warm, helpful and friendly. Location to the beach and downtown was very convenient. The room was comfortable and clean. Pool was small but nice to have on the property.

When we arrived we had to wait for a staff member for check-in for more than half an hour, but other guests welcomed us warmly while we were waiting.

Even though it was a 25-minute-walk from the town centre, I was so happy to have booked here and not in one of the big hotels. I loved the friendly and family-like atmosphere. Easy to meet other guests and yet have your own private area. And the Surfside Beach was in easy walking distance with lovely beach clubs for chilling at sunset in a relaxed atmosphere instead of a crowdwd party mile.

The fridge was very noisy. The beds were a bit hard and also made noise. One of our cooking plates didn't work well.

I really liked the pool and barbecue area, and the overall atmosphere of the property. The airconditioning worked well and the location practical - close to Oranjestad but not in an overly touristic area.
