Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe room was older and the sliding glass door would not open and the handle was broken. The bed was very worn. A dip on each side which made it a little uncomfortable. The food was OK but not great.

United StatesWe really struggle with the resorts buffet. The food was not really good and it seemed like it was always the same options. The big issue we had was with the Mexican Restaurant on the resort. Unfortunately my wife and son both got food poisoning on our last night there (Monday Feb 19th) my wife was so ill from it we almost didn’t think she would be able to fly out the next morning. If not for this issue we would have given 5 stars throughout the entire resort. I did notify the front desk the next morning as well.
All the facilities and staff were great!! Diego that works the pool bar really cares about the guests and his service. He took the time to get to know our family. We really love the location as well. Anything we needed that was not provided on the resort was in walking distance.

United KingdomThe cabana beds by the pool were really dirty. Everyone put towels on top of the beds, but they should still be cleaned.
Best selling point was location, while not being as expensive as other hotels next door for relatively the same beach. The buffet food was good. I've read reviews elsewhere that the food was not great but I was really happy with it. It met the standard.

BrazilIt's nearly impossible to get a drink on the beach. There isn't a bar with snacks during the day. To secure a beach chair, you have to wake up in the early hours of the morning.

United StatesLack of availability of pool lounge chairs and a small pool area was an issue. Shaded beach areas with lounge chairs was a major deterrent to our revisiting this property in the future. The room was dated with warped doors, clogged drains and a broken safe.
The wait staff were very attentive to the needs of the guests. Food and libation was very generously available.

United StatesWe there for 5 days and not once did we get a pool or beach chair. With the amount of money I spent, you need to stick to your pool rules. So many chairs were empty for the day people go to the beach, then to the pool. Its just unfair. Buffet could have been better.
It was beautiful.

United StatesFood at the buffet was good. However, proteins (chicken, fish) tended to be dried out under the lights. Best bet is having something made in front of you…fajitas, hamburgers, chicken or meat on the grill.
Great location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Always a good variety of food available at buffet including lots of veggies!

United StatesAlthough I enjoyed eating at each of the restaurants, I found the service to be a bit slow. Friendly, but slow. Most dinners lasted well over an hour, but not because we were just hanging around. The food was also slightly bland but I get that you're catering to the masses.
The beach was perfect, the water was beautiful. The staff was extremely friendly and the overall aesthetic of the place was fun yet sofisticated.

United StatesWe didn’t like the buffet food, not a good variety of food and was tasteless, the specialty restaurants a littlr better but not flavorful, we upgraded to royal and room service menu for lunch and dinner was good, our question was why not all the places have the same quality of food,
The location is really good, the beach is beautiful, the staff at the royal level restaurant was excellent and at the royal desk too.

United StatesWe bought our excursions at the resort, and they did not pan out. It was a horrible experience. We ended up having to get refunded on a nonrefundable excursion. That's how bad it was. We ended up having to find things to do on our own on Viator. We had a good time while in Aruba, though.
The location is right on the "strip" of bars, souvenir shops, restaurants, stores, etc. It's walking distance to other resorts and not too far from the airport. Aruba is a place, though, strictly for relaxation. It's for the older crowd, so there's not much to do other than enjoy the weather and be a beach bum, possibly take in some of the water activities they have to offer. Try the Aruba Ariba drink, though. Soooo good!

United StatesExcept for the Italian restaurant (great lamb chops), the food was mediocre. Breakfast buffets were fine. Other restaurants it was necessary to order several apps and sometimes 2 mains. At the Japanese restaurant, the spring roll order was 3 that were abort the size of my little finger and tempura was simply batter and deep fried. At the Steak and seafood place, I ordered steak and shrimp. Steak was okay but shrimp were 3 shrimp that seemed to be previously frozen cooked shrimp. I was expecting something a bit fresher
Facilities were great (room, beach etc.). My room faced the pool with the sun behind my room so the balcony was very comfortable. Staff was always very friendly and helpful. Unlike other guests, I did not learn their names.
