Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaRooms were rather sparse and plain. No chairs to sit on, except outside in the heat. The location of the hotel wasn't what I was expecting. I thought I would have more places to walk to and visit. Not the hotel's fault!
I like that breakfast was included, and it was a good breakfast daily. The restaurant staff were very friendly and accommodating. The courtyard pools were very nice, lots of pool lounges. The rooms and hotel were nice and clean.

United StatesThis is my third time staying here and it will not be my last! The property is very clean with friendly staff and the food is really good! The rooms are spacious as well. The pool and hot tub are always clean and I love how close it is to the beach.

NetherlandsRooms, at least the one we had, have adjoining rooms (doors). If the neighbors are loud you can hear them clearly. Except for the first night, all other nights were peaceful.
Staff is wonderful and very helpful. The rooms are spacious and the airconditioning works well. Enough space around the pool (1st week of may). Location is excellent, everything is within walking distance and if you need the car you’re everywhere in no time.

United StatesChecking in was a little bit on the slower side but nothing bad. Just expect that if there is a line, you may need to wait a bit to check in. It was also later at night so that may have contributed to it.
Breakfast was great. Buffet style. We were seated right away and got coffee immediately. Staff were very friendly, there were lots of options, all in all great breakfast.

United StatesNothing everything about our trip was relaxing. The resort is the Marriott Courtyard.
The staff was attentive and very accommodating. The location was great easy to walk to many restaurants. Quick note to ladies, wear comfortable walking sandals or shoes. Although the surface is flat some surfaces don't accommodate wearing high heels.

United StatesThe only negative about the property was that it was not beachfront. And when the shuttle dropped you off at the beach area, you had to walk a bit to settle on a portion of the beach that was not great. People from the Rui Hotel next door to the beach area had preference to chairs and Palapas.
Breakfast was very good. There was a variety of breakfast foods. Service was good and staff was pleasant.

United StatesIt’s not on the beach like how we usually like to stay but a shuttle comes and takes you to and from and it’s only a few mins away. Walking distance honestly but the shuttle is nice
Amazing location, walking distance to the downtown area of restaurants!

BrazilFirst of all, the hotel is now Courtyard Marriot and nowhere mentions this. Second, the receptionists could receive training and be more polite. We felt completely disrespected once we arrived. We were already in Aruba, changing hotels, so we were wearing beach clothes. They literally served welcome drinks for everyone in the lobby except us. The lady that attended us first charged my card and then told me to wait until my room was ready. No information regarding the facilities, breakfast. I almost begged for information.
The room is very comfortable, great bed, shower and has a small kitchen. Pool is great, they have a shuttle to the beach

United StatesThe happy hour red wine was not very good on our first night. The waiter that night was not attentive to us having to leave for a reservation and we were trying to have him take the wine off our bill and he knew that and was no where to be found. My room said it came with a balcony and there was no balcony??
Breakfast was great! Staff was pleasant and friendly. Location was close to restaurants either by walking or taxi. Hotel offered a shuttle to the beach or you could walk a 5 min distance. Pool and bar area was nice too

United States5 day short stay wish I would know about this island before.
Location near the prime morth downtown area. Windmill building essy to locate and accessible. Large pool area with water seats. Top notch cleanliness at the pool and the rooms as well, did not see any bugs who are popular in the island resorts. Staff was traditional Aruban and automatically super pleasant people.

BrazilThe only exception was the system they use for the chairs/beds in the pool area. Hotel guests often put out their towels or other things early in the morning to secure their place in the shade. That would be OK, but some of them leave the hotel or go to the beach and "mark" the spaces for themselves. Crackling sun, empty chairs and sometimes you can't a good place for yourself. Also, I missed a proper place to dry my clothes, snorkel and beach stuff.
I had an excellent and unforgettable time at this hotel. Our room was spacious with an ultra comfortable bathroom and a nice bathroom. The pool area is incredible. You can relax for hours, have a few drinks (the wet bar is part of the show) and even feed the daring iguanas. Plus: they had 2 free snacks per room, per day. Plus, the ice machine and free flavored ice water really helped to enjoy the hot days. Despite not being in front of the beach, the location is wonderful. In a short 10-minute walk you will find more than 50 bars and restaurants. If you want to go to the beach, you can walk 10 minutes or take a ride in the rotating golf cart.

United StatesWe had a lot of difficulties finding the property since Mill Resort was not posted anywhere on the property. After driving around for quite a while we stopped at Marriott courtyard and asked someone who told us it was also Mill Resort. Also I didn’t like that only those people who booked with Marriott got a free breakfast.
The room size and comfort and not having to fight for an umbrella or shade by the pool.
