I could hear next door neighbours and noise from the lover floor, but this is not a typical hotel, more like a Riad style accommodation, hence not very sound proof. The property does not have a lift, but staff members are happy to help with the luggage, so it should not be a massive problem.

I loved the warm welcome at the reception, friendliness and hospitality of staff members, room was quite spacious and spotlessly clean. I felt immediately comfortable.

Beautiful hotel, It has a lot of character, charm and well located in the old city. Staff were excellent and attentive. Room no. 4 was superb with a nice balcony view. Comfortable bed and plenty of space for our luggage. The bonus feature was the provision of Netflix on the TV.

Since the hotel is inside the old city, to take a taxi you have to walk to the main road. Also our taxi was not allowed to go inside and we had to walk to the hotel with luggage on a steep stone road.

The staff was very helpful and courteous. The location of the hotel is the biggest plus point as almost all tourist attractions are nearby and walkable. I didn't find any lacking in facilities; hot water in washroom, kettle, drinking water, air conditioning, everything was available and replenished on daily basis. There's a restaurant on the ground floor too.

We booked the room only with the inner window, so the ventilation was not great, and there were some unpleasant smell in the bathroom because of that.

The location is really good, in a quite area in the old town, easy to walk everywhere. It’s revamped from a historical building as I can tell. The room is big and the bed is quite comfortable. All the facilities are relatively new so everything works well.

Location of this hotel is really fantastic - in the middle of the Old City with lots of restaurants and cafes and sights nearby. Staff were really lovely and attentive, without being too overbearing. Great size bed, room, bathroom and storage space. Decent hairdryer and shower gel/shampoo/conditioner provided. Not a negative, but just feedback - the "art vibe" of the hotel itself could spill into the rooms a bit more - the decor is a bit flat compared to the hotel. Baku is a great city, and this is a brilliant hotel to experience it from. My second stay in Baku, my favourite hotel out of the two. Don't think twice - book!

Nothing really, just no elevator due to it being an old building. However, staff will help with your luggage.

Great location, within the old town close to the main square, the seafront and the metro. Airport transfer was smooth, the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, had all the amenities and was stocked up and cleaned every day.

Excellent service, alll the staff were very accommodating and professional. Ruslan was very kind and helpful he went out of his way to help us get settled, Ashithi and Vladimir were amazing too. If you're an art lover, this place is super artsy, very unique. The food was very flavorful out of all the restaurants I explored in Baku this was my no. 1. Great location if you're looking for a hotel in the old town.

My bathroom had a bad smell coming from the drains - I would recommend having some incense or a candle in there. It was also cold - I would recommend installing heating. There was also no toilet paper so I had to ask for some. Organisation and communication - I was called up and offered a me a glass of complimentary wine. When I received it, I was charged 16ANZ for it. I then received another call apologising and saying it was a mistake. I paid for breakfast one morning but when I checked out it had not been recorded as paid so I had to prove it was paid. The lady serving breakfast was also a bit strange and could not tell me what the breakfast included when I asked. There was a TV in the room but the TV channels had not been set up/tuned in properly. There is no elevator at the property.

Staff are very friendly and attentive - especially the receptionists. The decor inside is beautiful and my room was well-decorated and spacious. The location is perfect and right in the middle of old town.

The sewage system in the hotel makes bad smell in the toilets. But actually this seems to be a common problem in Baku and in most of the hotels we stays in Baku we face the same problem. Obviously is not ideal when you use the toilet but it did not really bother us when we are not using the toilets.

Location is amazing. The staff are amazing. The Resturant is very good and the waiters are very kind and helpful. Highly recommended and will definitely come back. We actually stayed 4 nights and went to SHAHDAG but decided to come back to old down in Baku and spend the last 2 nights in the same hotel.
