Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Germany- there were ants in the bathroom, the toilet leaked a little. The description of our room indicated a whirlpool bath - it was impossible to use this functionality, as there was no stopper for the bathroom - a very small fridge - As stated in other comments, there is deafening music on the hotel territory every night. So with small children and those who like to go to bed early, I would not recommend to stay in this hotel. We had no problems with the loud music as it always stopped before midnight - Our room (probably the most expensive room available) had a window that didn't close properly. Therefore, the music in the room could be heard as if music was playing right in the room - Internet is only in the hallway - The quality of service at lunch or dinner depends very much on the employee (or maybe on the management being nearby...). On the first day, we waited for about an hour for someone to pay attention to us and went up to the bar several times, asking them to bring us menus. So only on the last day of our vacation we decided to stay for dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the excellent service
- Huge suite, plenty of space for four people - Delicious breakfast (for those who are used to the cuisine of the former USSR countries. I am afraid that travelers from other countries may find buckwheat porridge a strange dish): every day a new porridge, always available cucumbers, tomatoes, several kinds of cheese and sausages (although we did not like sausages). Different kinds of omelettes. You can also order pancakes. From fruits - watermelon, melon, figs, grapes. There are also various jams, oriental sweets, but we are not fans of sweets for breakfast. Even if we came to breakfast late, there was always enough food. - The staff of the hotel and the cafe where breakfast is provided is very friendly, always ready to help. They speak Russian - The sea is very close, sun beds and umbrellas are enough for everyone, even taking into account visitors from the city (we were in the hotel in early September) - Every day a few bottles of water are provided. There is a kettle in the room, in which we poured water from the tap - it didn't cause any problems - The bus from/to the city passes often enough, even late at night, is cheap, the main challenge is to buy a card for payment - For lunch or dinner you can stay at the hotel, prices at first glance are high, but in the city prices are not lower. In general, we chose the hotel by location: we wanted a beach vacation, but at the same time to visit Baku in the evenings. Therefore, the choice of hotels was small, and after reading reviews of this hotel we were afraid that the vacation would be a disaster. Our bad expectations were not justified at all, we were very satisfied!

AzerbaijanThe food from the restaurants on the hotel’s territory had no taste. I have been poisoned the last day. I believe it somehow connected to the hotel’s restaurant food quality.
The view was amazing, and the staff was very nice.

UkraineWhen you go to a resort you expect to be swimming in the sea if there is one. That's what I did but it was the worst sea experience ever. I came out of the water and some parts of my body were covered in oil. Even after the shower I still could sense the smell of the petrol. I know it's common in Baku since there are many oil rigs, but the water should be cleaned next to the resort, at least the coast. We had our baby stroller with us and riding near the coast resulted in our wheels covering in oily sandy stains that were impossible to clean. When I asked if it's fine to swim in the sea at reception, the answer was "Yes, unless you mind the weather". You should not recommend swimming to anybody in such conditions. The room itself was very pleasant, however, the bathroom wasn't that nice. It was smelling weird, also the hot water coming out from the tap was slightly yellowish at the beginning. Amenity kits were very poor. Only shower gel and shampoo and soap which weren't that great. For the value we paid, we were expecting something better. The pool was closed already at 6 pm which was also the downside.
We went on a rainy day and that also played a big role when it came to staying in a resort. However, the hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Our waiter Elvin was superb during our first-night stay. He went above and beyond expectations and deserves major kudos. He's one of the main reasons our stay went well. The prices were really acceptable and the food was delicious. Our room was facing the Caspian Sea and that's another thing that we really enjoyed, especially in the Morning. There was live music in the restaurant area which is also a bonus.

PolandHotel should undergo some refreshments. I don't mean it is in ruin but some things should be changed or renewed.
I have a sentiment to this hotel because I was there 6 yrs ago for the first time so my opinion can be not objective in little procent. Hotel localization. Close to the sea, close to Baku. One of not so many objects in Baku that offers a swimming pool. Nice, helpful stuff. Very friendly people who work in a swimming pool bar and restaurant. The hotel has gotten some minor features comparing to my staying 6 yrs ago. Second swimming pool for infants and small kids, outdoor toilets and a outside bar. Generally good place to stay when you visit Azerbaijan.
