There isn't really any common room to hang out, only the kitchen. I was probably the only tourist staying there, be aware that this hostel is mostly used by long-term guests right now.

Superb location. The price is really good for being this central close to the old town. Curtains in the dorm are a nice feature for more privacy.

None. Everything is well and I am well taken care of, especially as a solo female traveller. Safety is my highest priority so don't be afraid just stay in this safe hostel and everything will flow smoothly as all the tourist spots are near this hostel, 100% walkable and no need to ride a taxi. Saves a lot of money!

The owner of the hostel was very welcoming and allowed his staff to prepare a delicious breakfast for us. I had a great time staying at that hostel. Everything was offered for my comfort. I will return because the owner is also a chef.

I had stayed at the hostel owner Rajeb’s old hostel near Heydar Aliyev Palace for roughly 15 nights while I used Baku as my home base to explore Azerbaijan. Throughout my stay, Rajeb was courteous and helpful, always willing to lend a hand and share some food. Along with his co-manager, there was frequently traditional Azerbaijani food and tea on the table, ready to be eaten. I had a good time there. Unfortunately, there were some infrastructure issues with this old hostel, so I was glad when Rajeb announced that he was moving to the current location near the Old City. You are currently reading the review of this current location. At the current hostel, the kitchen is bigger and better, the bathrooms are massive and plentiful, and there’s massive lockers with built-in locks for each person. There’s lots of space and it never feels cramped. As always, it’s very clean and there are complementary sandals to wear indoors. There are enough power outlets and curtains for each of the beds. Rajeb is still a gracious host and can give good advice for exploring Baku. The location is within a few hundred metres of the Flame Towers, the Old City, the Azerbaijani Carpet Museum, Maiden Tower and Deniz Mall (the shopping is bad but the architecture is great) which are all important attractions for tourists to visit. Further, the hostel is around a kilometre from the newer downtown area. As well, there’s lots of great restaurants within the same building as the hostel. I recommend buying a day pass for WingZ electric scooters and exploring the all the areas the hostel. It should be around €5 and is much better than the JET scooters. You can ask Rajeb to book an airport transfer, or you can do it yourself using the Yango app. It should cost less than €10.

The location is so great! Close to the city center so it’s easier to move around. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Place was pretty clean also the shower room was clean! Bed is so comfy and they also have curtains. Which is good!

Don't go here! Even though the pictures look nice and the price seems okay, the hostel itself is awful. We were 6 friends and got a basement room the size of a 2 person room, with only 2 real beds. The rest was just camping beds and some blankets. I have travelled a lot in Asia and have seen many things, but the WC and showers here were disgusting, full of hair, old used soaps, rust and limescale etc. The 'kitchen' was gross. Couldn't imagine this was ever cleaned in the last year. The staff was unfriendly and didn't bother helping us getting around Baku. The few guests here were barely clothed men smoking in their rooms with the door open looking at us from their beds, a real disgust. This was a big dissapointment at our first nights in Azerbaijan. We cancelled our last few nights here and got a different, much nicer hotel for the same price.

Rooms and bathroom were dirty. Our two-bed-room had no window and not well ventilated. No cozy atmosphere at all. Our reserved room was given away to someone else.

The location is strategically located in the City Center of Baku. The staff are accommodating. Almost all of the tourist spots are just a walking distance. The kitchen are well erupt with the necessary things you need.
