Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

TurkeyThe mattress clearly had been used for many years. The only way to fix the dent in it was by placing a spare pillow under the mattress. By the way, the pillow smelled strongly of sweat and cigarettes and was not fresh either. On the ground floor, there is a restaurant where loud music plays until late hours.
Staff members are very kind, friendly and supportive. They responded very promptly to our complaint about the lack of cleaning. They quickly provided new towels that hadn’t been replaced and gave shower amenities that were missing. After our complaint about the noise, they politely explained that it would be noisy until 11:00 PM and there was no need to worry.

The complimentary Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, allowing me to stay connected with ease. The hotel's location was perfect, as it was just a stone's throw away from the city's top attractions, shops, and restaurants. This made exploring the area a breeze, and I was never short on things to do. One of the highlights of my stay was the scrumptious breakfast buffet offered every morning.
