Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

TurkeyBathroom is bad. Maintenance hasn't done properly. Toilet seat's one screw was broken. Shower wasn't comfortable and hot water consistency was funny. TV wasn't working, screen was cracked. Informed them but..Overall, it's stayable for the price..I would go again.
Location is really good. That really matters. Building looks modern and nice. Bed was comfortable and clean. Room is big. It has weirdly victorian touch with high roof. Staff is friendly and nice. They have okay breakfast and cats :) I would recommend to stay.

Austriabathroom run down, toilet seat broken, shower grouting in a bad state. The bedsheet kept coming off during the night so we sometimes ended up laying on the mattress which was gross.
breakfast was simple but nice, some tea and bread with jams and butter. The room itself was clean when it comes to bedding, but there was just overall dirt such as the old grouting in the bathroom, etc.. cause the place is old. We are young and were there only for 3 nights on a budget, so for us it was okay despite this because the location was great. There was also AC which was super nice!

Slovakiai found the location of the hotel on the google maps - there wasnt any hotel. then local people helped us and send us to hotel (the same hotel as was in booking app, photos was the same). in this hotel said to us, we need to go to another hotel with our luggage. it was maybe 3 minutes away. this hotel looked different as was on the photos. the ,,yard,, was discusting, lift was dangerous - if third persont wanted go in the lift, the doors smashed you. reception of this hotel was on the hall, we had door next to the reception, so when somebody coming during the night, we heard everything. it was like somebody talk next to your bed. we booked 3 beds, they gave us 1 double bed and 1 extra bed. this extra bed was horrible, some iron or wood pressed into your back. when we asked about some compensation because of different hotel and bad bed, they said, they can´t help us. in the evening cold water stopped running. we had to go to reception, so they fixed it in 1 -2 hour. breakfast was ok, but nobody asked you if you want water, juice, or coffee - there was just 1 option - black tea.

I booked an economy room, but they upgraded me to a deluxe room, which was beautifully decorated. The hotel is located near many popular places in Baku, making it convenient for sightseeing. Overall, I highly recommend the ShaLeMaro Hotel for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Baku.

United StatesWell first of all , staff were pushy, told us to give 10 star for the review as soon as we get in , secondly , room was so dirty , toilet seat broken and most importantly the room has a very bad odor of cigarettes and mold , reason why I did not sleep at all . I tried to call the receptionist but Telephone not working ,my room was in second floor and I had to run up and down the stairs to address the issue. So I waited to tell them in the morning.. the money that I paid, I can say not worth it because I was feeling sick in the morning, probably by not sleeping and because of the smells. There is a hot tub in my room, and I did not even bother to look at it because it’s filthy dirty, I don’t think guests will even bother to see that.. I feel disgusted when I give glance. As much as I can, I don’t want to give this bad review but I am just being honest , this hotel need a complete upgrade if they want business.. even they will offer me a free stay, I would never accept it. Because I felt like , I am going to get sick just to look at it ..

United StatesThe reception is dark, the rooms were quite dirty with hair all over the floor, and the room had a stench. The second day, we left the room key on the basket for cleaning. We returned from Nakhchivan at 2 am. They could not find our room key but found our friend's key. It took them half an hour or longer to find a key to open our room. When we entered the room, the toilet seat was on the floor (I took a picture because I could not believe it). The beds were very uncomfortable. They were also very pushy, asking for us to review the hotel and give them 10 stars.
There's really nothing to like about the hotel. Facilities are run down and dirty. I have to point out that our room had breakfast included, but it was not feasible to eat at the hotel the first morning because our flight to Nakhchivan was early in the morning. However, one of the guys (sorry, I do not remember his name) prepared tea and had bread with spreads for us to eat something before heading to the airport- Thank you for that! The room had good lighting and adequate size. The bathroom sink and shower had running water.
