Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe bed was a bit firm for my preference, but not terrible. We booked a superior ocean view and the room we were put in was not a superior view. It was set further back from ocean than other rooms with multiple tin roofs in between and trees preventive much ocean view. To their credit, after the first night, they did move us to a better room, which we appreciated. There are no elevators, which we knew when booking. They had gentleman bring the bags up for us and they moved them for us when our room was switched, which was also much appreciated. The other negative thing is that the air conditioner exhausts directly into the balcony blowing hot air onto already very hot temperatures, making the balcony not very usable.
It’s a pretty hotel on the beachfront and close to restaurants and many beaches. The hospitality room is a great service for travelers like us with a late night flight.

United KingdomHaving been in the Annex across the road we did get some noise from the Mariott directly behind our room however, the night staff were fantastic and sorted it out for us. Only the slight critism I would say was there was a limited number of restaurants and supermarkets in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was excellent. The resort itself was well maintained and clean. The beach was a good size with plenty of loungers so you were never short on space. We really enjoyed our stay here!

The property is well maintained and it has the best portion of beach with palm trees in that area. The gardens and trees are extremely well looked after by an in house gardener who does and exceptional job.

United KingdomMeals and drinks were very expensive. The hotel advertised a happy hour each day but that only related to one particular cocktail which they had selected. Thus, a Happy Hour in name only. Come on Coconut Beach, please up your game and just piggy back on the Happy Hour offered by the connected business located across the road.
The room was very clean and although facing the main road, there was little noise to contend with.

CanadaThe cottages do not have glass on the windows. My father got dengue fever while we were there you never see mosquitoes, but they are in side.
This property has a beautiful beach location. The annex cottages only have air-conditioning in the bedrooms, but the cottages are lovely but old.

United KingdomThe breakfast was too European and there was nothing local on the menu. The fruit juice was from a carton and not fresh. The fruit salad was grapes and apples. What about watermelon, pineapple, oranges, grapefruit and mangoes (when in season)?
The beach was clean, there were always lounge chairs available and the swimming was safe. Managed to do some snorkelling too. We particularly enjoyed the shade provided by the trees.

Saint Vincent & GrenadinesThe silver door jam/stopper on the floor need to be removed or highlighted. This was mentioned to front desk. While we understand it is there to stop the door from impacting the mirrored door to the closet, my son bumped his toes the very first night trying to access said closet. And, you have to keep looking for the jam/stopper everytime you go to remove the ironing board and iron.
The service good and the staff was very helpful. Especially the adventure desk. House keeping very polite also. Movie on the beach was a unique experience. Big up the popcorn guy.

Ireland- Beach bar staff were slow to serve customers at the bar at times (very minor issue) - Noise from the road traffic may bother some residents. We brought earplugs so wasn't an issue
- Fantastic beach location. Great snorkeling spot - Not too far from restaurants and stores - Staff very friendly and obliging. Special mention to beach security man H... an absolute gentleman and he runs a tight ship - Sea view and nice balcony - Modern room and bathroom - Very large and comfortable bed - Jake's across the street offers decent bar food - Decent gift shop
