Saturday breakfast - it was a Bank Holiday

I really wanted more Bajan cuisine for breakfast. The street leading to the hotel from the main road needs better lighting. I wish I could have stayed longer. 😊

The hotel manager, Ms. Barton was a gem and extremely helpful when we upgraded our room to the apartment. The hotel was very quiet with two restaurants on site. The location was close to the beach, other restaurants and public transportation.

I didn't like how the breakfast was. I think the buffet style should let us take the breakfast ourselves. Also the glass for the juice was too small, you had to take about 6 glasses. They need to find a way of doing the toast because you select your breakfast, by the time they do your toast, the breakfast is cold. Plus, they do not have to slice it in triangles. One particular member of staff was very rude. She needed to be in school to learn professionalism. Otherwise all the members of staff at breakfast were very welcoming.

We liked the hotel very much. The receptionist was very good, kind, considerate, pleasant, and beautiful manners. Nothing was too much for her. I don't remember her name. All the security staff were pleasant.

The one thing that stood out for us was that there wasn't a fridge or a kettle in the room. I am a tea drinker and unfortunately you cannot get the water hot enough using the coffee machine for tea, water must boil to get the flavour out of the leaves.

Breakfast was good considering that you had a lot of students learning about catering and other duties that they carry out. They were friendly and went about their duties quietly and politely.

Although the rooms were very clean, some of the furniture and curtains were a little “tired” or in need of minor repair. There were a few sun lounges round the pool and they were very heavy and hard to move.

It was situated close to amenities, the staff were really helpful and pleasant and the hotel was clean.

I found the opening hours of the bar difficult to understand!!

Training hotel sp breakfast hit and miss. Didn't have lunch or dinner but others said good value.

Lovely clean and comfortable rooms. Good location easy walk to beach and shops. Reception staff extremely helpful booked us a meal and taxi for our anniversary and reserved a table for breakfast..

Breakfast was just alright.

The location is great as a base location and the property is fantastic value for money. Lots of nice eateries on the boardwalk. Pleasant walk along beach up to Carlisle bay. Felt completely safe.

Only complaint (actually more of an afterthought) perhaps the staff/students could be taught to relax a little. All the staff we met did a great job but the contacts we had would have been a little more human if they could relax and enjoy Theo contacts with customers- please regard this as very positive criticism 😁

Great hotel apparently a training center for hospitality students. Lovely location only a block away from the ocean.

There wasn't a hairdryer in the room, you could get one from reception, but that was a bit inconvenient

The hotel was exceptionally clean and the staff were excellent. A special thanks to Chef Toni Simpson who cooked to perfection some Wahoo and Tuna fish that we had caught on a fishing trip that morning. This was the best tasting fish we have ever eaten!

In proximity of everything (buses, shops, restaurants and beach).Very lively staff in all departments. Special thanks to Sabrina who gave me precious information about bajan food, tradition and where and how to go. Very good value for money. We definitely will book again.

Great breakfast, perfect location close to the boardwalk, restaurants and shops. The staff were polite, helpful and went the extra mile to ensure that we were taken care of. The hotel is beautifully maintained and I found it had a charming "old Barbados" island feel to it, complimented by interesting local art. My husband and I would definitely love to stay there again.

Remote on TV did not work. On telling reception she said she'd see if anyone was availabke. Nobody attended. No call back to update me. All she had said was : "its not really our problem!" So that was that!! At breakfast toast was never offered. Had to ask for it. Lovely juice. Some staff very friendly & helpful, others looked completely bored. Some reception staff again friendly & helpful. Others were less so. Seems swimming at the beach is not permitted. Would have been nice to have known this vital information in advance!! Room was nearer to stairs/lift than requested, but it was comfortable enough.

Several staff were friendly & obliging, interested, chatty, helpful. Close to the sea, short walk, although you had to walk to Rockkey beach to swim.
