Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Turks & Caicos IslandsThe room had very very little kitchen ware. Not even a sharp knife. The smaller coffee press ever and very small dish ware - the microwave had issues too
It was in a great location- but no restaurants nearby

CanadaWhile the seclusion is a plus, services like groceries are not close by.
This is a small, quiet hotel on a somewhat secluded location. The hotel has a smart layout with all rooms having a great deck area overlooking the pool and awesome views.

United KingdomEverything needs a caring touch to restore lost excellence. It is not possible to swim at the nearby beach due to really big waves, but the Atlantic Ocean must be seen, and it is truly great.
The authenticity of the building was charming. Our main goal was to relax after busy and noisy places, and we succeeded. The surrounding nature was beautiful. We were able to manage everything without a car, as the shop and restaurant were just a 15-20 minute walk away. The view to the rain-forest and Atlantic Ocean and was truly outstanding. The apartment had a lot of space and really nice and big balcony.

NetherlandsA somewhat sparse kitchen outset.
It’s setup, the terrain, the view, the location, our terrace where the always blowing wind became a welcome breeze well shielded from the sun. Not to forget it’s And also the perfect base from which to reach the many hikes on the east coast and high hills with tropical vegetation between the east coast and the west coast.

United KingdomA lovely layout of accommodation and interior of room. Beautiful views, handy for all East Coast attractions and within a short drive to the nearest town on the west coast. The bed and pillows were oh so comfortable. The size of Santosha lends itself to a nice quiet getaway. Loved that it was self catering too. Staff very friendly and helpful.

United KingdomWould have liked recycling bins. Room was missing knives and teaspoons. Stayed 5 nights so thought bathroom would have been cleaned at least on third day and food waste bin in the kitchen emptied. Would have liked cushions on balcony furniture which were too hard to sit in to read and relax. It was quiet so if it had been busy there would not have been enough sun beds and only have 2 currently. I would have liked the jacuzzi shown to me so I could be reassured that the water was safe and how to use it. In all 5 days no one used it. Pool was fabulous although tiles coming off but think this is going to be dealt with. Broken parasol was replaced near the end of our stay. Noise from our neighbours on the balcony could be an issue but the families left the morning after we arrived. I asked for extra towels and would have expected them to be brought to the room in the morning but was handed them in the evening. I think more information is needed. Where are the cushions for the sun beds kept? How to use the jacuzzi. What is the arrangement for getting fresh pool towels. When is house keeping going to be done and what is included. How to get Netflix on TV. This was never shown although promised on more than one occasion. These are all suggested areas of improvement for a hotel.
Location. Had Top middle floor room with balcony with breathtaking view. Swimming pool surrounded by beautiful manicured gardens. Everything made in wood, the building, the fixtures and fittings, the decking and patio furniture. Sustainable and fits in with surroundings perfectly.

United KingdomApartment was clean, but a little dated and tired in appearance. Pool area floor needs some attention too
A lovely quiet spot on the east coast, with a spectacular view from our top floor apartment. Ideally you need a car! Great for a short stay whilst exploring the top and east coast of the island. The manager was very helpful, great customer service! It has a rustic charm; peaceful and calming. A lovely spot, very different to the west coast and tourist areas

IndonesiaIt is quite remote so you will need a car or taxi to get there. The only nearby restaurant is Sand Dunes, and the food is excellent. Best for 2-3 days. More than one week is a bit too much.
Stable WIFI is a necessity for a digital nomad. Empty swimming pool just for myself. The spacious room with complete kitchen facility. The view is amazing! Perfect place for introverts :D

United KingdomThis resort does not do breakfast. A great shame. Due to COVID, the super markets shut at 6.00 pm. If you decide to purchase food from the Petrol station, it is more expensive. Unfortunately, the taxi fares were increased substantially, 3 days before my arrival. The taxi fares had not been increased for 15 years. Hence, my plans to visit Bridge Town and Christ Church were cancelled. Before my departure from the UK, a journey to Christ Church would have been $40.00 Barbadian dollars, roughly £20.00 (sterling). But, the fare increased roughly to $65.00 Barbadian dollars roughly £33.00 (sterling). If I was staying for a week or two, I would have hired a car. The exchange rate was £1.00 (Sterling) to $2.13 cents (Barbadian Dollars) in the UK (Feb 23).
The weather was superb and the beach not far away. The location was the east side of the island, which was isolated from the rest of the holiday areas - i.e. Bridge Town and Christ Church. Because, I was island hoping from Jamaica to Barbados to St. Lucia, especially with COVID about, I felt that this location was superb for me. The resort was breath taking, the palm trees were waving in the wind quiet often, due to the atlantic ocean. The bedroom size was great, the reception area was good, and the kitchen is open planned. The kitchen is well supplied with pots, utensils, electric cooker, microwave and a toaster. The only thing is, the resort is self-catering. You have to buy your food from a supermarket. Everybody was friendly and there is a local rum bar outside of the resort. The bathroom facilities, you will not be disappointed with. The picture of the resort showing the swimming pool, it is exactly as the photos. I did not try it out. But it appeared popular with some of the other guests. I enjoyed walking about the resort and checking out the local super market and restaurant. Please note, a mile away from the resort, on the main road. The day manager, Xavier, was great. If you need advice, on what you can do, speak to Xavier. Or, if you need a mobile phone adapter, speak to Xavier. I wanted to rest and take time out. This resort was the right one for me.

United KingdomI loved everything. I think the place would be more appealing to those who don't drive, if there was maybe a vending machine in reception or somewhere to get some little snacks. I also think having some bikes to rent would be a great touch. As Barclays park and that area was lovely but quite a walk away.
The location was stunning, so beautiful and the beach is only a 2 min walk away. It is very remote and the perfect place if you want peace and tranquility. The place itself is is clean, tidy and has most amenities that you'd want in a self catering place. The pool is lovely and view great! Xavier was really great too, very helpful and was able to help me sort taxis (as I don't drive) Other staff would always smile and say hello which was really nice to have as a solo traveller!

JerseyWe were on ground floor and the people above us seemed to be training for a marathon. sound proofing needed in ceiling as it was v loud. our friend stayed in another room and didn’t hear people above her so maybe we were just unlucky.

The staff who work here are amazing, especially Xavier. He is extremely helpful and attentive to all guests needs. The location has beautiful views, is very peaceful, all that you will hear are the sounds of the sea and birds singing. You do need a car, but it’s the perfect location to explore the rest of the island and local restaurants.

United KingdomOur check-in was slightly delayed due to previous guests leaving the room in a mess. Other guests staying were extremely rude, playing loud music from 06.30am, which the entire complex could hear. I haven't marked the property down for either of these things, as they handled both issues very well - Might be worth being more selective about who you allow to stay though.
Property and location are lovely. Everything was clean and tidy, if a little on the dated side. We weren't expecting a modern 5* city apartment, like some other reviewers seem to have been, and we got exactly what we wanted. A quiet, charming stay, without the hustle and bustle of being in a town/city. The convenience store at the end of the road was well stocked for breakfasts/snacks and 'Sand Dunes' just down the road do a great lunch menu - flying fish sandwiches as we arrived were amazing. You will need a car to stay here. The roads aren't fantastic as others have said, but we went out for a couple of days/evenings on the west coast - Speightstown is a 15-20 minute drive with a beautiful beach and some great bars for atmosphere.
