Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

I loved the 5 star restaurant on site. The service impeccable. It exceeded my expectations. The service around the pool was sensational. Lashon was a great host and my family and friends enjoyed the entertainment was a lot of fun! The Dj was on point with the variety of music.

United StatesThere wasn't authentic island food served. Not enough activities/entertainment on site. You're not able to swim at the beach due to rough current. They don't have free shuttle to and from airport. Food and drink is not 24/7 Its not located near the main attractions.
The property has beautiful ocean view rooms. The staff went above and beyond to help. The one restaurant on property that had good food was by reservation only and was only open at night for dinner.

United KingdomCheck-in was chaotic, took a long time and check-in staff seemed overwhelmed and confused. Room service staff removed cups and glasses but didn't replace them. I often returned to the room to find no cups or glasses. Another team restocked cups, glasses, tea and coffee but often only many hours later. Crazy system! The air conditioning in the room could only be adjusted by calling for maintenance, which was a hassle. The hotel was still under construction (Feb 2024) and although the gym and shop were advertised, they were not built yet! Hotel was clearly just getting up and running and not functioning smoothly. The hotel is far from Bridgetown and the main beaches. It's isolated, on a beautiful part of the coast, but windy and the sea has dangerous currents, so not good for swimming although there is a pretty, deserted beach. The hotel provided free bus service to a few places on some days, but if you need to buy anything or go to the beach to swim, you have to take a taxi which is at least $50 to Bridgetown. There was no local bus.
My room was large, comfortable and clean. The freshly made breakfast omelettes were excellent and the selection and quality of the buffet was good. The food at the Castle View restaurant was generally good but a very limited menu and reservations were required. The staff were pleasant and helpful but clearly just learning as the hotel had only recently opened.

Trinidad and TobagoCould have more ammenities but we did know that there is still work ongoing before fully being opened. Not much access to bathe at the beach so just be mindful. A bit distant from main towns but we knew this when we were booking.
Staff was friendly, very scenic. Food was great, chef ensured vegetarian options available and request for something to be made was done timely and tasty. Nightly entertainment was decent for the limited entertainment area.

United StatesIt is very far away from everything. I needed some over the counter medicine and had to pay US $50 for the taxi ride! There is only one local restaurant within walking distance. The hotel is brand new and the staff is inexperienced. The bars are poorly stocked and the bartenders are inexperienced. The water at the beach area is very rough.
The design is stunning. The employees were very nice. The food at the reservation restaurant was delicious. The pool area is very beautiful.

United KingdomSlow service. We found we could sit round the pool for an hour and nobody would come over - they'd be chatting in a corner. Some pools you'd see nobody serving all day. And the buffet restaurant was the same. The Castle view restaurant was better but there's not enough staff for the amount of people - our poor waitress was having to take orders, serve them and pour and fetch all the drinks. Post dinner there is zero atmosphere. We struggled to even really get a drink and by 11pm we gave up and went to bed. It seems everyone else did the same. Not what I expect from a hotel that is far away from everything, so there's no other options. If you like a bit of evening entertainment this is not the place for you, no matter how lovely the setting.
Gorgeous hotel in a beautiful area. Rooms are large and very comfortable beds. We slept very well! Quite a few amenities, as expected for this level of hotel. Some of the staff are great - check in was easy, we were allowed a late check out. Very clean and feels new as its not been open long. Multiple pools so you can always find a quiet spot if needed. And plenty umbrellas for some shade! Food in the Castle View restaurant was lovely.

United StatesOur room’s bathroom appeared to be barely clean. There was soap residue in the empty soap dish and water marks all over the faucets in the bathroom. Our mini fridge had a bag of pineapple in it with no drinks, as promised. The second day we came back to our room with a fully stocked fridge. The thread count on the bed sheets had to be 200, at most. They were scratchy and rough. The rooms, while they look nice in photos, are really difficult to navigate and I feel we’re designed poorly. People walking by on the first floor can see right into the room’s shower due to a window into the bathroom that you can’t cover. You have to close the curtains in your room to shower without being seen by people outside (this was the king deluxe room). Thankfully I was traveling with my wife, if I had been with friends or family it would have been awkward to shower with them in the room. The room overall has very little storage, so if you’re staying a while and you and whoever you’re traveling with have a bunch of clothes, it isn’t the easiest to get it all settled. Whatever they clean the room floors with leaves a residue that makes the bottom of your feet feel gross. Bring slippers or wear socks. Lastly, the second night we were there a pile in building 3 burst. Thankfully we weren’t in that building, but it did impact our ability to shower (zero water pressure) and the AC in the entire hotel was shut off. We had a very uncomfortable night sleep as our room got to 78° and was incredibly humid. The manager would only say “they’re thinking about it” in terms of a discount or refund for that night. Our bags were promised in our room by the time we checked in (we were given temp passes as we arrived around 11am and check in wasn’t until 4, which was great. We were able to hang out at the pool) but they weren’t there so we had to get them ourselves. Normally this isn’t a big deal but the hotel grounds are huge and it was about a 7 minute walk from our room to reception.
The location was gorgeous. The pools were lovely and clean. The beach was a bonus with lounge chairs and lots of shade from palm and pine trees. The staff were amazing. Almost everyone we interacted with was lovely. Danielle and Monique, both at the Castle View restaurant were stellar, especially under the circumstances we were dining in (no AC and the fire alarm blaring because a pipe burst in one of the hotel buildings). Nicholas Carter went out of his was to escort my wife to the pool area where he got her a bag of ice after she hurt her foot on a rock at the beach. Super sweet guy. Akeem, a server at the main pool bar was quick with drinks, friendly and wonderful.

United KingdomManagers need to monitor standards, check in was slow and room not ready despite checking in at 4pm! mini bars aren’t refreshed consistently and neither is coffee and tea, 6 coat hangers for two people sharing a room for a week isn’t enough and there’s also a lack of drawer space. Buffet in evening could do with more variation and some local food would be lovely.
When finished this will be an amazing hotel. Bathroom was nice. Beds are comfy. Castle View was nice.

United StatesWe were charged for things we weren't told about but had no choice to pay at the time. The checkout was not a great experience. We had surprise charges that I have serious issues with. But we couldn't hang around to dispute them as we had a flight to catch.
The staff was so friendly, learned our names, knew what we liked to drink, they genuinely cared about making our experience the best it could be. The Bajan people are truly one of the most beautiful people on earth. We left feeling like family. We still miss seeing them.
