Abit old

Location was good.Close to a lot of good food and Chinese cuisine. And just opposite DNCC Super Market for the pearls shopping. Swimming pool was alright , no piercing sun though in the afternoon. Good security and especially the tall handsome hotel staff Kamrul who was very helpful to us when we have problems communications with the rickshaw riders just opposite the hotel. He made sure we are back safe and sound as well. Felt very safe within the area

A bit run down facilities and rooms. Checkout was a bit a debate because they wanted to charge more than agreed in my booking, claiming a new tax... Had to escalate to GM to get it resolved. It was not a big difference, but my booking price was supposed to be the final price I have to pay and they initially didn't want to honor that commitment.

It was a reasonably good business hotel. Ok breakfast.

Nothing in particular. The only complain is about the fact that the guy at the check-in desk couldn't find one of my collegue reservation (again made via booking) and he wasn't very cooperative. Perhaps he wasn't simply in a good mood, but I woulnd not expect such behaviour in an hotel like this one.

Very large and well furnished room. Broad choice for breakfast and i liked everything I've eaten. High security standard. I had to change my travelling plans after the cancellation deadline and the hotel management kindly accepted to change the reservation without chargin me the penalty. I really appreciated the effort. I will surely return to Westin nest time i fly to Dhaka.

Lots of unexpected events happened to us (1) Door room not locked automatically after closing (2) Change to a new room where TV was not ok but OK, we ordered for a chocolate cake as Mothers day but received cheese cake instead and this was supposed to be a surprise for me by my husband but they told it to me which was no more a surprise 😵

Overall, there’s nothing bad about this property. However, one aspect needs to be flagged. The club floor, which is supposedly an upgrade from regular floors, is not a quiet place. There is a restaurant right above it, and a lounge on the floor beneath. The rooms are very very comfortable, but if someone’s planning to hit the sack before 10:30pm-ish, then good luck with it! The constant noise from the restaurant upstairs (the footsteps, the dragging of the chairs & tables, the dropped cutlery item, the music, etc.) are all quite loud and noticeable, and will bother you. They don’t mention it at check-in time, and may actually portray it as an upgrade (even though I paid for the club package). I had another issue. My room was the first one next to the elevators, one of which had some malfunction and was causing much noise and vibration to the extent that it was disturbing. the hotel staff knew about the problem and were quick to fix it. They even gave me keys to another room (on 14th floor) and told me to retain both rooms, and to use the second one for sleeping. That was very thoughtful and I truly appreciate it

There is a hidden charge. The price apparently changes according to the exchange rate. They said it is "the charge, plus, plus (++)", so beware. They also require a £200 deposit, just so you know.

The staff was nice and helpful - especially Himel and Limon from Concierge. It is safe, since they have a lot of security.

I wrongly booked 1 night. I asked to Westin to kindly cancel booking. They first trying to gain time by pingpong during hours with Booking.com, manager and their reservation team, for finally rejecting my request. This poor and short term minded attitude is not on the level a hotel of this caliber. Conclusion: I'll never put a foot anymore in Westin Dhaka, as well as all other Westin places. Not sure I am the biggest loser in this sad story. What a pity!

I paid via 14135tk with booking.com but when I arrived at the desk they were asking me to pay 23000 after a long argument I paid 19000 which I believe I been checked by hotel staff and not very happy for this and still don’t understand why I paid this extra money this is unacceptable. Also order some some food at 2:45am and I got this food at my room at 4:15am after I fallen sleep such a poor service I will never go back to this hotel neither I will recommend this to someone.
