Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomRoom quite small (needed to move bed, and two people tended to get in each other's way); would have been cramped for longer stay
Staff extremely helpful. Lovely location and view of canals. Very nice breakfast; good selection of breads, pastries, fruit, cold meats, etc. Good shower room. Reserved parking nearby.

It's in a beautiful location. You can walk to all sights. The staff were very friendly and helpful with local information. The kitchen lady was kind to serve our breakfast early because of our train schedule. The rooms were large and comfortable. Breakfast buffet had amazing variety-eggs, fruits, fresh veggies, pastries, delicious cinnamon rolls

AustraliaThis little hotel is in a quieter spot in Brugge, yet still an easy walk to the main market square. The staff were excellent; approachable and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. My dietary restrictions were easily accommodated. Highly recommend.

United KingdomGiven that it’s an old property, the room could get a bit stuffy and damp.
Old and charming property, painfully restored. It is located conveniently, giving easy access to the town centre and public transport.

Plenty of choice for breakfast. Room clean and comfy but could have done with better light and a mirror in the room. Location excellent.

United KingdomThe room we got was a lot smaller than the one in the pictures, so with all our motorbike gear, we had to move things about a lot to manage. Some idiot set all the fire alarms off in the wee hours, so we had to get dressed and go downstairs. Totally not the hotels fault. Everything else was fantastic
Excellent central location, and an extremely warm welcome. They safely stowed our motorbike in the courtyard where we were comfortable it was very secure. The room was teeny, (WAY smaller than the one in the picture on the site!) but had what we needed, and we loved having the view of the canal and the fact we could open the window wide and watch the world go by. The traffic noise did not bother us, despite it being a cobbled street, and being September it was cool, so the lack of aircon was not an issue at all. The bed was very comfortable and we slept really well. Overall we felt very well looked after and I'd stay there again, though I'd maybe ask for a room a little bigger . The shower was great and we liked the ample coffee making facilities

AustraliaWe had nothing to complain about
This hotel was perfect in every way. Close to the town centre and lots of cafes, restaurants and bars. Our room looked out at the canal We had booked a smaller room which was comfortable but decided to stay an extra day so we moved into a larger room which was comfortable, spacious and still with views of the canal. Our Host Natalie was very friendly, kind and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful. We can't rate this delightful family hotel high enough.

United KingdomThe only downside is the bath didn’t have a shower curtain, so I felt that I was making a big mess!
Such a hidden gem! Property is a 5-8 minute walk away from the main square on a quiet little street which overlooks a canal. You get wonderful view from the hotel room overlooking the river…what’s not to beat. Hotel room is exactly what you need for a few days in Brugge, it was clean, tidy and spacious. The staff are outstanding, they go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. Lots of hint and tips upon check in, a map with a beautiful walk or bike trial you can complete with their amazing bikes which you can take for free around Brugge. Breakfast was fresh each morning and was perfect start to each morning. Pastries, eggs, breads, meats etc. Perfect continental!

United KingdomLovely hotel in the centre of Bruges, walking distance to everything you'd want to see. Underground parking (additional charge) was well worth having as parking is awkward in Bruges. Staff hotel were very friendly, allowing us to use their car park before check in. They also gave us coffee's and pastries to go when we left early in the morning, really nice touch.

ItalyThe hotel exceeded my expectations. I have nothing to comment here.
The personnel of the hotel is very kind and happy to have a chat about the city. All about the hotel is cozy and relaxing. The breakfast was good and what makes it extra is the room, very nice and with a warm fireplace. The room is big enough and nothing was missing, all clean and super. And most importantly, I could see the canal from the room window, which makes it even more awesome! The free bicycles are a super good addition to all, which makes it go over the top. Highly recommended!

Everthing was Very good. The staff, perfect and very friendly. Rooms very comfy, and breakfast excellent. The building is old but very inviting for a City stop over, the lift is also old but it works. A 10 minute walk to the center and plenty of places to eat on the way. Parking is a short walk away in with reserved places for the hotel. All in all a great place to stay and no more expensive than other Bruges hotels. We loved it as did our little dog. ThankYou Adornes.
