Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe hotel is located in the heart of Brussels right across from the central train station. It is one street away from the grand place. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see. The staff was helpful and welcoming. We would definitely stay there again.

United StatesThe stairs to the rooms are winding and narrow. Checking in was great because the front desk guy carried our bags upstairs but at check out he wasn’t working.
The location is perfect. Easy walk from the train station and directly behind the Grand Place

United StatesThe room was great but unfortunately they cant control other guests and the neighbors next door The neighbors next door we could hear through the wall and had to call the police to quiet them down but it didn't The other guests were coming in from 12:30am to 3:30am and didn't show respect for sleeping guests and were very loud but this isn't the hotels issue this is a people issue. This place is great and the staff was wonderful
The room was great, the location from the train station is amazing, the location to everything was amazing too!!! This place is great and the staff was wonderful!!! They were able to recommend places to eat and see and they were spot on!! This is a place you need to stay at when in Brussels.

NetherlandsThe stairs to go to the room is very steep which could be a problem for some people.
The hotel has a perfect location, you can't be closer to the center. The room was comfortable and clean. It is a pity that the hotel doesn't have a breakfast facility but the room offers a kettle for coffee and tea in the room. The staff at the hotel was very friendly

SwedenIn spite of it being cold out, the room didn't have great air after a while and got too warm for us, even though the radiator was off. (We like it a bit on the cold side at night) The AC wasn't enabled, probably since it was 5-10C outside. I'm sensitive to sound, and it took quite a while for the evening crowd out on the square to settle down. But I slept well and I loved the room. Also the run off drain on the sink wasn't connected to anything, so watch out for splashing that, as it goes straight through to the floor.
Fresh and light room with soft beds and super high ceiling. The bathroom was really fresh and light too. I loved it.

United KingdomThe room was quite small with no distance between the single beds, I’m not sure it was really a twin room. I was sharing with my mum so it was OK but if it had been someone I knew less well it would have been awkward. Also the lift up to the 4th floor was tiny, we could only just fit us both in and we are both small!
Fantastic location, lovely friendly staff, very clean.

MalaysiaWe chose the hotel for the car parking offered. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we failed to park our car at the hotel car park due to the road closure. We have to park the car at Grand Place Grote Markt public parking, which costs €22. The hotel provides us with discount cards, but they don't work at all. It disappoints us. We are hoping to get a discount for our stay, but there is no discount. heater in the room didn't manage to warm the room as it was covered with a wooden cabinet. If the wooden cabinet were removed, maybe the heater could work better. Overall, we just loved Brussels and our stay at Agora, as the staffs were being nice to us. Keep up your wonderful hospitality.

FinlandAs the hotel does not provide breakfast, a small fridge in the room would have been good to have.
Great location. We had a family room for 4 people and it was of great value, right in the middle of Brussels old town. There are many restaurants nearby and you can just walk everywhere. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. This is a great choice in Brussels.
