How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Noisy at night at 2a.m and 5.30 a.m. noise done by probably long term residents in this hotel. Speak loudly and once even moved furniture at 2a.m. Also no chair and no small table either.
Immediate Location fine, despite what others said in this website. Close to Gare du Nord. Quiet outside as well.

Double bed is actually two singles put together. Shower temperature is a bit temperamental. Sink slow to drain.
Friendly staff. Clean. Comfy bed. Good location and price.

Builders started drilling literally into the wall probably from outside scaffolding. Did not take care of the privacy climbing roof in front of the room window.
The location is superb. Decent clean room for a night. Staff was friendly.

Bathroom was ok, but it had a bad smell
The hotel is in a walking distance from Brussels-Nord station (about 8 min) where you can take the train to the other Belgian cities. The room is clean and the staff are helpful

Very run down. They cancelled my booking as over booked. You get a run down hotel basically.

It is and also feels like a cheap hotel. You get what you paid for and that’s fine but the surroundings are dangerous. Try not to walk around the North Station after 9 pm, and if you do it, just know that you will feel threatened by groups of guys that hang near by.
It was cheap and near to a main train station. The staff was nice.

Electrical sockets fall out of the wall. There were no curtains in the bathroom, so at night anyone can see in. The room wasn't very clean. Hair dryer didn't work
The hotel is close to the city center. It offers free luggage storage. Good view

Shower did not work, the hose was old and almost fully disconnected from the shower head so the water was barely flowing. And the water was cold. Squeaky beds.
The destination is great for the price, we walked basically everywhere. Nice personal available 24/7.

It was very worn and the bathroom was very dirty and mouldy. The bed was stained.
Staff were friendly and helpful. The sheets were clean and the location was great. The area was quiet.

We didn't have time for the breakfast and it was ok I guess but simple for the price. The taxi had a hard time finding the place even though it is located in a. prominent square in the City. Maybe it was just an inexperienced driver.
All was in good shape and we got a first floor room as I'm handicapped. We had a hard time getting a taxi for the airport on a Sunday morning and the staff went to bat for us to make that happen. They were also very responsive to our emails.

Unfortunately , the hotel was not as clean as one would pretend, one of the beds had the sheets stained with an orange color, the wall was full of mould and behind the wardrobe we found a box with empty cat food…. The Shower hose was kind of falling apart, there were no water pressure and for some kind of improvement you had to pull the hose up for pressure while showering.. When asking the management about this and about hot water, he began to get angry and talked to us in a disrespectful manner. The breakfast in the morning was disastrous,limited equipment to eat with and the food was limited and regarded as rations.
The property was near our event and was cheap.

The place was dirty, there was a smell like rotten wood in the room, and there were a lot of spiders in the room, the place looks like it needs some work, the walls have cracks on them

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE FROM THE UNITED STATES (Overweight). Every room is up tiny stairs. not foot space.... There was so much hair from past guest in our room. It's not near anything except the nord train station. It's so dang close to a homeless camp. Yiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiikes. We yeeted ourselves out of there and didn't do the full stay.
