How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Breakfast was a little bit frantic, with a lot of people trying to get the self-service food and drinks in a confined area. The hot food choice was limited and not obviously located, but the make your own waffles were a great option. The selection of cold food and various drinks were very good, just the experience was not very relaxing with the volume of people. The staff were very good at replenishing and clearing away. Driving to the hotel - signs to access the hotel and the parking could be clearer, especially if you are not familiar with Antwerp.
We chose the hotel because of the parking, however a barrier issue meant that after some messing about we managed to use the same car park but paid Park Be instead. We had my elderly father with us so this could have been a problem as the only parking at the front was for Electric vehicles or disabled badge holders. The staff were all lovely, the rooms were clean and quiet.

Nothing. It’s not in the center but 40 mins walking to the center.
Very clean and quiet. Breakfast options are good and varied. Room was big and we could see a liitle bit the harbour. Bed was comfortable and heating/AC was very easy to adjust.

The location is challenging, I was approached within minutes of arriving by someone harassing travellers. The location didn’t feel safe at night.
It was clean and nice enough. The usual standard for holiday inn. There is secure bicycle parking in the basement but be aware that the concrete floor in the basement is super slippery when wet. All staff were pleasant and efficient.

Good hotel for a short stay. The beds are comfy. A good breakfast is included. You are close to the MAS museum which is an advantage.

The room had a stale smell when we arrived and we had to open the window with the air con on for over an hour. The breakfast was the same each day and there was very little that distinguished it as being traditional food. At peak time on the weekends (the last hour) the breakfast bar circulation just doesn't work. The room was only 85% made up when we returned at night and we had to get housekeeping to come and finish it off.
Breakfast was ok Good sized room, very quiet and there was a glimpse of the harbour through adjacent buildings. Well placed in a developing part of Antwerp. Reception were reasonably attentive and efficient. There's an ice maker machine in reception.

The rooms were too warm. AC wasn’t able to cool the room. Safety lock on window didn’t allow to open window all the way.

They didn't have many parking spots available. We were charged for our parking for our time of stay and one evening there were no spots available. Luckily they let us park in the front evening though it was only 15 minute parking.
Good location to walk to the city center. Comfortable and good size rooms. Safe was very friendly and helpful.

Full car park, had to park somewhere else. Its not very well visible from outside where the car park is... Still don't know where the hotel's car park is... Long queue for breakfast. I have never experienced 30 mins waiting for breakfast... Not very well organised.
