High Recommend - Very Clean and Large

Everything was super. It would have cost more to be five minutes closer to the centre and so I think the location was fine. The centre of Ghent is small and easy to get around. Maybe being a little flashlight or use your phone light if arriving in the dark. The lock box numbers are quite small. Perhaps there was a light in the lobby but I couldn’t find it.

Very clean apartment in a quiet area of Ghent. 7 minute walk from the Ghent Belfry. 2 minute walk from the mini Carefour market. Within walking distance of one of the train stations. Large apartment. Bed is very comfortable - perfect balance between a soft bed and firm bed. Ellen kindly brought me a softer pillow when I mentioned I found the pillows hard. Kitchen contained everything I needed to make meals. I found the restaurants were very expensive and so was pleased to be able to make quick and easy meals in the apartment. It had oil and herbs stocked which was a really good surprise as most accommodations don’t have those. Everything you might want in a kitchen was provided - from utensils to cheese graters! I arrived at night and as it was dark and rainy out and so I wished I’d had a small flashlight with me. Often I’ve found European apartment entrance ways a bit dark. There might have been a light though and maybe I just couldn’t find it. The water pressure in the shower was perfect. the tv was fun to have to see some foreign language programmes. Even though there are other buildings nearby, you can leave the curtains open - it’s a school across the way and no one is looking out, so let the light in! I didn’t get a chance to use the balcony but I imagine it would be fun on a hot summer’s night. I’m very honest in my reviews and highly recommend this apartment. The location was great! And I found it good value. Closer toward the main canal would be good if you want to be out at night. But when solo traveling I am happy to come ‘home’ once it gets dark. If I come back to Ghent, I’d stay here again! This is very large for a solo traveller like me but a nice treat. It would be ideal for a couple. And even with a child or two, the apartment would work well. My favourite place in Ghent was the Belfry. It was fascinating. Well worth the reasonable entry fee to go up the tower and to read all about its history and see the two original dragons.

    There is nothing to dislike.

We are in the middle of a six week European trip and only rent apartments. We do 2-3 trips a year and have seen every type available, and this on is simply……perfect in every way….Location-a five minute walk to everything, but quiet for sleeping. Style-open, airy, well designed and tastefully decorated. Function-everything you need at your fingertips. Communication-timely, thorough and plenty of information.

Good quiet but central location, 10 minutes walk to centre of town. Very secure property. Good size apartment, very clean and comfortable and all necessary amenities provided. Very nicely decorated. Situated 15 min walk from the train station (Gent Dampoort not Gent St Pieters - Dampoort is much closer to the centre of Gent than St Pieters, which is on the edge of town). Lots of English-speaking TV channels. Nice balcony. Close to supermarket.

Good location, 10 minute walk into the centre. Located on a quiet street. Comfortable beds. Nice and warm. Balcony would have been great on a summers day. Secure. Easy enough to find your way in once the entry info has been shared. Easy communication.

Nothing that we didn't like. Perhaps some information about getting to the apartment from both train stations and the tourist tax you need to pay would be useful in the information pack the host sends.

No trams run early in morning (4am) to catch early train. Taxi not reliable but luckily we hailed one nearby. Nothing about the apartment was bad.

Fabulous apartment close to attractions. Easy to get to by tram from Sint Pieters Station otherwise about 40 minutes walk. Quiet neighbourhood. Great kitchen facilities and nearby supermarket.

The location and style of the apartment were excellent. The apartment is comfortable, very clean and spacious, with nice appointments (eg. crockery, cutlery, bedding, etc). We would stay again in a flash if returning to Gent. Ellen sends good information to assist with getting in to the apartment and what to do in the area. Highly recommended.
