How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Lack of a dedicated parking lot, but the overnight parking on the street was free.
This room was much nicer than we thought it would be. And the full kitchen was a surprise.

Took us a minute to find the entrance, which doesn't front on the street. It's in the entryway of a shop.
Great location. Clean, comfortable room with kitchen. Restaurants and bakery nearby. Be ready to climb stairs, no elevator.

The washer/dryer are shared with other units. This was not a problem and it was very helpful to have them (key reason we booked this location) but not clear in the ad. Parking is on the street but it was not difficult to figure out the pay station and not hard to find a spot close to the apartment.
Very quiet despite entering from a busy street in Bastogne. Access was very easy. Great location. Unit was super clean and the bed was extra comfortable. The kitchen is well arranged.

Booked a apartment at 8pm and received my code to enter at 8.30pm. i had contact with the owner and he came to the apartment an hour after i booked to open the garage so i could store my motorcycle inside. Great service and a very friendly owner.

Beautiful, clean, and modern. I could not imagine a better place. Would highly recommend. Three friends staying together and there was plenty of space. The shower is amazing. The host was friendly and responsive.

It’s a walk up so be prepared to carry your luggage up a couple flights of stairs
This property was very clean and comfortable and was in a perfect location. Within walking distance of the main square and within short driving distance of all the Battle of the Bulge sites.

Not a big thing but could smell the drain sometimes in the bathroom and a pen a brush would be nice.
Modern, spacious apartment with everything you need for a couple of days relaxing, in the middle of the main shopping street. Everything at walking distance. Beds were very comfy. Excellent noise blocking windows. Enough electricity sockets, the lightning in the room had good ambiance and it was spotlessly clean. Free parking in a back street close by. The instructions sent by email by the owner were very clear. Overall an excellent stay!

There was nothing we didn't like. We enjoyed our stay.
This was the absolute perfect location for our stay, within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. The entrance is next to a beautiful flower shop. It was modern, spacious and very clean. The shower was exceptional and luxurious. I appreciated a spot to hang jackets and another area to place bags and suitcases. We did our reservation for 4 and I was surprisingly shocked they had folded out the sofa bed and already had it made. In all the places we have stayed, never has the sofa bed been made. It was wonderful to not have to mess with that. We met the hosts, and they are easily available. We had a car and parking was no issue on the main street right in front of the apartment.

Google maps directed us to the wrong building first but when following the host’s description we found it. It just took a bit to find it, mostly because of Google maps.
Good location in the centre. Has everything you need and is clean. There’s also parking out front.

The property is very comfortably furnished, with a lovely, cozy and stylish feel to it. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed. The hotel is positioned in the heart of the town, and yet it was easy to reach and we could park the car for free close by(over the weekend), and we were not bothered by any noise from the streets. The owner has been very helpful and welcoming. In a nutshell: truly recommend this place.

We struggled to figure out how to work the oven, it’d be good to provide this to make it easier but other than that, it was a perfect place to stay
