ApartBrussels is a very nice apartment for short stays. The host was very kind and helpful. It is very close to the Grand Place - 5 mins walk. A lot of places to eat nearby. Metro stations are very close. The apartment was clean and comfortable for 2 of us.

There are 50 photos on the booking.com website, and none of these shows the apartment that I stayed in, I think this is somewhat misleading. The amenities in the apartment were OK, but the heating boiler was installed in a cupboard above the bed. I was concerned for my safety in case there was carbon monoxide escaping, though obviously I survived! However, the boiler started and stopped noisily all through the night and prevented me getting any sleep. The floor tiles in the apartment were quite old and a few loose tiles... overall, the apartment was nowhere near as nice as the photos suggest and it was impossible to get a good night's sleep due to the boiler continually switching on and off. I don't think it is safe either and I was afraid to open a window in case the exhaust of the boiler was situated next to the window. The entrance lobby smelled of cigarette smoke and moving upstairs to the second security door the odour changed to quite a damp smell. Thankfully the apartment did not smell. Overall, tired and disappointed with the booking.

No lift, a very narrow staircase which makes it super hard to climb 4 floors with the suitcases! a poor bathroom, needs to be renovated.

The Apartment was small, with no view except the backyards of other buildings, which were old and ugly. The garbage was in the apartment all the time (5 days). No one came to take and through the garbage. Garbage was in the apartment the whole time (5 days). No one came to pick up and throw away the trash from the apartment, nor were there additional trash bags in the apartment.

There was no elevator to get to the room. The first day the heating device did not work, but then the next day they fixed it. Other equipment was not new but functional.

The location was good, shops nearby and the center was not far. The space in the room was enough for two people.

The sheets were dirty, everything seemed dirty. Couch was broken, they don’t have shampoo or shower gel. It was too loud in the morning, you can’t sleep because of the people running for hours in the apartment upstairs. Shower was also broken. Honestly, not worth the money at all.

On arrival the first thing we encountered was significant paving work taking place outside the apartment which meant every time we entered or left the apartment we had to effectively walk through a building site. I would have expected to be advised of this prior to arriving. The apartment itself is clearly in need of an upgrade to all areas and the photos in the advert in no way reflected the dire condition of the apartment. The shower in particular was very bad (water not draining away; no effective shower head holder; door not closing) and this was immediately reported to the host. In fairness a workman appeared the following day, agreed that it was not fit for purpose and advised the full unit would be replaced the following day. No-one appeared and we had to endure the inadequate shower facilities for the duration of our stay. We expected a visit from Housekeeping daily as advertised, however no one appeared over the duration of our 4 night stay. This was highlighted via message to the Host and no reply was provided. We asked if it would be possible to have use of an ironing table, again request ignored by the Host. Whilst the location is good for using the metro and access to restaurants and bars, the amount of homeless persons sleeping rough in the vicinity of the apartment and the continual begging was rather intimidating.

Very silent room although there are works on the Boulevard to make it pedestrian. It was also nice warm - in German it is called kuschelig - in winter. The beds were a bit narrow, but soft. The staff was very kind and helpful and adaptable. The place is very close to Rogier if you come to REA and relatively close to the centre - about 10 minutes walk.

We on booking asked for 2 beds. Lin arrival we had one. When questioned about it, we got told we should have asked. I showed them proof. They then wanted another 40 euros to cater for us. We also had to contact the police, as at 9:45pm the manager thought it was ok, to access the apartment whilst we were sleeping. 2 females alone. We did contact booking.com and were promised a reply within 24 hours and have heard nothing, nearly a week later.

We loved how spacious Elvira's apartment was and appreciated the amenities. Cute space with nice balcony view and great central location to shops, eateries and metro. Beware of stairs but not an issue for us. We also forgot our travel documents and Elvira was kind enough to message us and took care of it. Thank you!!

It is not that I disliked it, but maybe stairs (both to the appartment and inside it) can be challenging for elderly people and families with small kids.

Staff was really helpful and trying to accommodate all my needs. Location is very comfortable - only meters away from metro station and largest bus stop with buses to everywhere. In the middle of the centre of the city - plenty of places to eat. The apartment was clean and tidy, really large enough for a family of 4 - 6 people. All facilities available.

Extremely noisy people gathered for food delivery outside the window yelling until 2:30am then construction started up at 7:30 am right outside the window so couldn’t sleep or open windows
