The hotel was lovely. We only stopped for one night so didn’t get chance to eat breakfast or anything else. The staff were so friendly and welcoming when we arrived. They showed us all the places they recommended visiting as it was our first trip to Belgium.

Car parking is very tight so don’t even think of trying to book with a large car but they did tell me this before I arrived.

Hotel and staff were excellent. Great location for walking into the main square. Breakfast was great and plentiful with a good choice. Staff very friendly and helpful giving you information about the area and what is going on. Only spent one night there but wish we had booked for 2 or 3 now.

The photos on Booking.com don’t do the hotel justice - it looks much better in person than on the photos. Often it’s the opposite way around and you are disappointed- but not here!

This hotel is very very good. The staff are exceptionally helpful and go the extra mile to help you and make sure your stay is perfect. The breakfast was amazing with really good choices of warm and cold food. The hotel was spotless and felt really well cared for.

The beds were very soft and duvets were synthetic so we didn’t sleep that well. Also we booked double beds but were given twin beds pushed together with two single duvets (I’ve never experienced this before!!). I would have preferred a king size bed (even if this were twins properly zipped together to prevent a large gap) with one large duvet. We spent quite a lot of time adjusting the heating to feel comfortable. Clearly this room gets very cold in winter so we appreciated the additional fans/heaters provided … however it was freezing at times when we arrived back to our room after being out. Proper central heating would improve this.

Location good, staff were very helpful and friendly, family room layout, breakfast was excellent. Overall a lovely hotel in a beautiful city. We nearly couldn’t come due to a family relative being ill but the staff were very accommodating to add an extra cancellation day. We appreciated their help.

Very tasty and high quality breakfast with variety of good options, fresh juices and bakery. Location is 10/10, quite street in 3 minutes from the main square. Good size comfortable bed.

Very grand almost felt like royalty

Booked hotel Aragon but ended up staying it there sister hotel grand castle-burgh which was exceptional beautiful and grand and we will definitely book again in the future.it was 4* but we both agreed it should have been 5* I would advise booking there parking

-the street is a bit noisy -no separate tea kettle. The water tasted like coffee when trying to make some tea.

-the staff of the hotel are all super super friendly! -its close to the city center. -the room was very big and cozy.

Nothing really, the only comment would be is that if you have a room in the front, the flagpoles make noise during the night. We ended up buying earplugs from a pharmacy nearby but they’ve also got them at reception
