    An experience that could have been quite pleasant and interesting, turned out to be horrible!

    The blackmail I was subjected to as a guest by the host! I will explain: . First, I was asked to pay a deposit of €300, so that in the event of something going wrong, or something being damaged, the host can make use of this amount, to settle the eventual damage. . After my stay, we took care to check that everything had been immaculate and even organized as the host had requested (even without removing a single piece from the original place it was, when the apartment was delivered to us). In other words, we only made very limited use of the apartment without practically using it (except for sleeping). . Following this, I was contacted later by the host who stated that a washbasin siphon was missing (something that we never saw when we were given the tour of the apartment, nor that we could have made use of it, since we practically didn't even use the kitchen washbasin ). . Even though I found all this very strange, if I had to pay for this object (which I honestly thought was ridiculous that she was charging me, as I am also the host of a property and would never do that to a guest of mine, especially for something so insignificant), the what shocked me the most was the blackmail made by the host, simply to give him a higher rating here on Booking (see proofs, in the attached photos). . She asked me to give his apartment 10/10 for the recommendations and reviews here on Booking exchange for not paying for not paying for the sink siphon, which would cost €11.99 + shipping. . Finally (as you can also see from the picture in here attached) I was only refund in something like 285€ (from my 300€ deposit), which means I have been charged from 15€ from the washbasin siphon. In order to maintain Booking's credibility, I find this type of blackmail practices unacceptable, where alleged losses are charged, as an excuse to charge derisory values in exchange for superlative evaluations of the space.
