Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaIt was pretty warm in the room and too loud to open the window so a fan or something would be nice.
Very clean and quite. Quite enjoyed staying here. Not a five star resort by any means but great place to stop and snooze and shower in your travels. Within walking distance to most of the major landmarks too! We walked everywhere from here

GermanyThe hotel has moved but sharing no information about it, so booking it via google maps location is very misleading as it is now at the other end of the town, with very bad traffic connections. Staff has been very unfriendly and hardly English speaking. The whole hotel needs major renovation and comes across like a run down place. The rooms are more than simple, with shabby furniture, not a single lamp at the bed side, no opener / tissue box, a single cloths hanger in the cupboard etc
Comfortable bed, shabby but clean rooms

CroatiaGood place. However, the hotel, (well, it is more appropriate to name it motel), has loud tenants, (most of the time guests are witnessing "night activities"), and those were quite loud. There is, also, a lot other noise, (something that resembles rumbling gas cylinders, an construction in progress noises through whole night).
I may emphasize really good heating. Some issues have been attended in instant. Let's say pretty fast internet that has no additional charge. Relative proximity to local stores and small restaurants, (quite few arround).

LuxembourgStaff very little friendly, lobby smells horrible, overall the place is very dirty. There are holes in the walls, which I wouldn’t be surprised if rats could get into the room through them. I’d rather sleep on the street next time.
Close to the airport. Approx 9km

United KingdomFor the price I was expecting basic but clean. In reality it was really unclean - a layer of dust in the skirting boards and top of the bed, Black mold in the bathroom, smears on the walls and shower…Someone came in and left me towels but never bothered to actually clean the place or even make the bed. The walls are also extremely thin so you can hear others in next door rooms and the bathroom. The man at the desk was helpful but I wouldn’t stay here again.
The location was perfect - 30mins walk to central Brussels

GermanyToo expensive for the quality of the hotel. There was a cockroach roaming around in our room. Our bathroom would completely flood due to the shower drainage working poorly. To include we have a picture and video of the whole bathroom flooded.
Other than the location, nothing. The staff were nice and respectful though.

United KingdomPoor housekeeping, I had to ask for almost everything like toiletries and towels. The bathroom was not clean, there was limescale and rust, no soap in the soap dispenser, the toilet flush was not working properly, and sometimes, there was no hot water. The furniture was of poor quality, the chair in the bedroom was dirty, there was no TV in the bedroom even though it was included in the package, and the bed mattress was not comfortable. There was an unpleasant smell (sewage smell) in the corridor all the time.
The hotel is near the train station, there are lots of restaurants and shops in the area and you can easily get buses and trams to get to town.

United KingdomThis is the worst hotel in Europe I ever used. This hotel did not have the basics. In this day and age NO HOT water was available. Staff said this could be available at 11am. Guess what, this was the checking out time. In other words we could check without a wash. Even at. 11am, the hot water was not guaranteed. For the first time in my life, I checked out without a wash, thoroughly DISGUSTING and EMBARRASSING. My biggest issue is why does Brussels City Council allow such a health hazard business operate. It seems the hotel is being renovated as we could see windows ready for installation both inside the hotel and in the enclosed car park, hence this explained why different paints were on walls. No problems with charging €20 for the car park, as it was late and leaving early, we parked in the street for €6 till 11am though we left earlier. The bathroom was not functional. The hose of the cold water were remnants of the former bathtub. The shower hose was not at a normal height for someone to have a shower as the shower hose holders on the walls were broken or not available such that one had to bend down below knee height to reach the shower head dangling on the old bathtub tap if at all there was hot water. The shower cubicle was so low such that my head hit the top.I let the tap run for some time till I noticed that there was no hot water. Staff confirmed this. The light switch on the headboard had its wires exposed hence this exposed us to possible electrocution. What an EXTREMELY dangerous hotel! Once again I do not understand why Brussels City Council allows this hotel to operate as it presents a health hazard to tourists and members of the public. The walls had two colours and sports of left over paint which suggested to me that work might not have been finished. There was an odd smell from the room. The desk against the walls by the window had one of the drawers broken and was hanging.
The only thing I liked was that the lift was working and we were in 2nd floor.
