Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

The entrance area is bright and airy with tons of plants, the bar is lush and inviting… our suite was also gorgeous and full of character (exposed beams, etc). I travel often but would also say that it’s been a long time since I’ve encountered this level of service at a 5-star hotel. Every member of staff was welcoming, helped immediately at all times, and made us feel special/ taken care of.

GreeceWe would like to express our opinion, in order to protect travellers. Please note that: - from the photos you cannot realise the real size of the room. It's tiny, no real corridors and the entire room arrangement not well shaped. - despite the fact that they offer a 24/7 room service, the menu has only a very small number of plates and the most of the hours you cannot even eat anywhere in the hotel. Even if there are 4 restaurants, they are open only for a few hours per day. - no real priority given to hotel guests. There are no available reservations neither in the restaurants nor in the spa for a long time. - the staff members' cannot communicate between them. We asked for some more time to prepare ourselfes from a staff member who came in our room and even he accepted it, the reception asked for half day payment - BUT THE BIG DRAWBACK is that there are insects everywhere in the room (mosquitos etc.). They tried to fix it with some tablets, but most of our night were sleepless. We would recommend to double think before booking as FOR SURE you will not be served for the amount of money you pay. There are plenty of other options that respect their clients. FROM US, who are travelling almost half of the year due to work, it's a BIG NO.

BelgiumThe value for money. 1300 € the stay from 15pm till 11 am the next day, to queue 45 min to check in and to queue 30 min for the breakfast which is not even included in the price! You can’t even book a table for the breakfast. At that price, this is unacceptable!

United KingdomInitial room was terrible. Overlook hospital parking entrance and bins next door. Two large window panels with one tiny window to open so virtually no fresh air (though probably designed that way not to get a whiff of the bins). Completely unacceptable for a hotel professing to be in the leading hotels of the world group (the room was in the "deluxe" room category on booking.com) We asked to move and were moved into a much nicer room in the Monastery Section, however the room size was tiny (probably half the size of the advertised size), and had a toilet in a closet!
Aesthetically Beautiful building. Impeccably restored and top notch service and facilities.

Netherlands1. Was placed in sofa by check in, to wait for help. 20min later nothing had happened, even people in line-up was served arriving after us. 2. Ask for extra duvet when entering room, was not arranged. Had to call room keeping at midnight for this, when we came back to hotel. 3. AC not working efficiently , when got back at midnight. Too late to call yet another room-service. 4. Windows opened, - mosquitos in room. 5. Strong smell of sewer/ riool on outdoor grounds, especially in front of glass entrance-door. 6. Went to spa in morning, though underground, not logic to get back to room, since room nr. only shown inside elevators, not in hallways. 7. Ask employee in basement for help, he couldn’t find his way either. 8. Girl in SPA, was asked if breakfast was open till 10:30 or 11:00., since we were not sure. She said it was open till 11:00 - so we were at restaurant 10.25, guy told us we only had 5 min before they cleaned up things. Told him we were informed by Spa girl it was 11:00, he said not his problem, we could have seen this in the room. Well….yes. Usually we stay at Hotel August, since we travel a lot, and good hotels, good design, and good service is key for me/ us, since we travel substantial days a year,- but thought this time we should try Bot. Sanct. … - Have to say,- calling yourself a small leading hotel of the world, is an exaggeration to say the least. U simply don’t level up, and in my opinion you don’t get the concept of good and smooth / relaxed service of todays mind-set. Hotel is a B’ful frame, but service and contents is not OK. - too rigid, stiff and old-school. Further, all correspondence was continuously Mr. Nissen..- I mentioned with a smiley that I was a woman, ..- I mean , I’m not offended, but after all we are in 2023..- so if u are not sure if u deal with a man or woman, just forget your need for using titulars. Big ties, white shirts, being male..- is today not equal to having the most buying power!

United KingdomBreakfast in room 135 euros And didn’t deliver what asked for. Valet reversed my rolls Royce and nearly hit me and my luggage despite Cameras and sensors. Narrowly avoided due to other quick thinking valet. Staff helpful though with an air of snobbery which is not acceptable in my opinion.

The handle in the room is broken and the remote control in the toilet doesn’t work. 3. Room service staff forgot to deliver meal for our baby in time. 4. Hotel staff isn’t calling back. 5. There is no baby menu. 6. Inroom iPad isn’t working so that you can't adjust the indoor temperature. 6. Houskeeping didn’t come while we asked for it. 7. There was no hot water one morning. They promised to send an engineer but he didn’t come.
The hotel looks pretty nice itself.

NetherlandsOnly the two bedroom apartment in the roof top so cold the Airco does not work , all the night have so much cold I did not sleep all the night , i am sick with cold and my children was also so bad sick because of the cold . No worth value of money when your night is a nightmare . I did not expect this since is 5 stars hotel the heaters does not work. I pay a lot of money for getting cold and flu to go to the doctors me and my 3 children 😑.
