How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Beautiful room in lovely house. Truly warm and welcoming host who was extremely helpful. Delicious breakfast. Very close to all the best sights, restaurants etc

Everything was perfect, nothing not to like!
What can we say... The perfect find, gorgeous room, super spacious and comfortable. Amazing breakfast every day, with the freshest local produce. Location is SPOT ON, in the heart of Bruge, one quiet side street, could not be any better! Last but not least, Kim, the owner, has been the perfect hostest, knowledgeable, kind, and extremely hospitable! Honestly, we are very lucky to have found this little gem, and when next next in town, we will be definitely back to stay again!

Cannot recommend Braamberg highly enough. The location is perfect -- 3-5 minutes walk to every good spot in the city. Kim was a fantastic host, giving us great recommendations and providing a delicious breakfast every morning -- even giving us a to-go breakfast since our train left pre-breakfast time. The room was cozy and comfortable and the bathroom was huge for Europe. Five stars!

Would suggest a waste bin in the bedroom but being picky.
Kim was very welcoming and the property is lovely. Room was huge and beds were very comfy. The breakfast was superb. Will stay here again.

Wasn’t an issue for us but be aware rooms are up one flight of narrow steps. Shower would be nice to have a shelf to set shampoo/soap on and not reach down to ground-just a suggestion!
Very clean and very bright room(but great curtains for at night!) good size room and bathroom. Kim(owner) was so friendly and helpful! Good location to walk and see Bruges. Nice touches of chocolates and water and coffee in the room. Very nice breakfast included-eggs and meats and pastries and fresh fruit and yogurts-yum! Kim let us leave our luggage on check out day to wander before our train-so helpful!

The breakfast was really nice but we didn't see anything about what was actually going to be available.
Super location just away from the hustle and bustle keeps it nice and quiet. Great tips from Kim with a very thorough map run through on arrival. Comfy cosy room with everything you need for a short break.

Nothing, it was excellent!
What a beautiful B&B in Bruges. In a fantastic location, easy to access all the sights and the many restaurants and cafes and bars. The room was so pretty and light and spacious, with a view to the Belfry, and had a really comfortable bed. The shower was great with toiletries and a hairdryer. The breakfast was delicious with so much choice! Kim was a wonderful host, very helpful with some wonderful suggestions. Lion Belge and Lizzie's waffles just 2 of the great tips for places to go. We had a wonderful stay here and would highly recommend it.

Our room at the front of the house was a little noisy, but quieted down during sleeping time.
