Despite the modern decor, this is a very old (historic?) property and has no lift\elevator. Therefore, luggage had to be carried up steep, narrow stairs. No television, which was quite exceptional. For the cost of this accommodation, this is unacceptable. This was the only place where I stayed in the whole of France, Belgium and the UK which did not have a television in the room. No room servicing for the three days I stayed there. A notice in reception mentioned that this was "a hospice, not a hotel", whatever that means. It certainly looked like a hotel and was priced like one. The bathroom heating (my mornings in Bruges were quite cold) was IMPOSSIBLE TO OPERATE, unless you had been specifically briefed by the staff AND had a demonstration of how to access and operate the controls. Even then, it was not easy. This is 2024 and this place needs to do much, much better. Grouchy, unhappy staff member on the front desk (viz., the grumpy, unsmiling young woman on the morning I left) are a liability in hospitality. Why does she bother working in such a place when she is clearly unhappy dealing with guests? For heaven's sake, find another job.

The bed was kind of squeaking. In the middle of the night shower suddenly started leaking, which caused noise that could not be dealt with and interfered with my sleep.

It's completely enough for the price. The location is very good, you will be in a walking distance to all major spots. Staff is also helpful and the place itself is pretty cozy.

The location was perfect, and only a few minutes walk from the main square. The room was spacious, and the self check in was great. There was even the option to order food to the room if you arrived late.

The reception staff were not very friendly. When I asked them questions, the female employee answered in a very perfunctory tone.

The single room, #22 had a damp musty smell which did ease with the window open. It was a shame there wasn’t anywhere to hang clothes nor the towels.

Beautiful fronted building with a recent refurbished modern decor. The rooms were well equiped. Comfortable and clean. Superbly central for everything - walking distance from the train station and to all the main attractions. Fresh white bedding and towels.

Location is perfect, decent room for this price, easy online check-in check-out, so you can even access the room when arriving at midnight.

Greeted pleasantly on checking in but checking out I wasn’t allowed to leave a medium sized backpack until my train left so I had to walk to the station and pay 9 euros to store it for a few hours. I haven’t had that happen before when traveling and yes the lobby is small but it felt like they didn’t care since i was leaving anyway.

Personally I found the bed quite uncomfortable. Maybe just a kettle with some coffee or tea in the lobby for instance would have been cool.

I was on the top floor and was aware there was no lift however the stairs are so steep leading to the top floor. Also they were not able to hold my bags after check out due to health and safety which was explained to me.

The room could have been a bit more clean, also it should be clearly stated before you book that there is no elevator. Additionally, it's quite inconvenient that you can't leave your luggage after checkout (at least temporarily, as I was told)

The room was a bit small but perfectly okay for two nights for the two of us.

The room is tastefully decorated, the bed is comfortable, and the bathroom is nice. Check-in and check-out were easy. The staff were friendly. The location is excellent for walking all around Bruges.

Well, don't expect a hotel with all facilities or service (they actually note that they are a hostel, but I wouldn't consider this a typical hostel either). Maybe not the best place for a longer stay?

Very clean room. Small, but for just one night, it was perfect. Although there was no one at the reception when I arrived (nor when I left) the I received very clear instructions on how to get in. It all worked fine.
