How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

the room bed was uncomfortable and I had mosquito while sleeping and noisy a lot,,as well room stinks while entering ,,on top of that I had one traveller who was snoring horrible ,,was not able to sleep

The bathroom could have been cleaner, and the water clogged in the shower. I would appreciate curtains on beds to ensure more intimacy. Would enjoy more common comfortable spaces in the hotel with a good heating system.
The beds were comfortable. I like that it was an all-women bedroom and it felt safe. The wifi was good. Locker available to keep luggage the next day during the day. Overall quiet. Nice and helpful staff.

The hostel does not propose breakfast and the surroundings are a little noisy.
The hotel is very well located between gare du Midi and the city center. There is a bathroom in the dorm. It is a good place only for sleeping if you plan to visit bruxelles and to take the train to visit other cities.

Charges for towel (2 GBP) did not make sense when you book for 170 GBP! Internet was inconsistent. No bathroom mats making it messy after the bath.
Excellent location, walkable from Midi and to the Centre. We were 4 of us and were comfortable in the bunk beds. good sized beds. Good powerful shower.

During the day and at night, the hostel room can get super hot and stuffy inside. It was kind of uncomfortable to sleep at night as there weee no AC or fans. The water temperature was bipolar as the water was either too cold or too hot, borderline 1st degree burn hot. It is also super close to restaurants where people smoke and drink all night long and it can get loud at night.
I liked how close the property was to the metro stop as it made it easy to get from the main train station to the hostel. It was also a plus to have a bathroom in each room and an elevator to help carry bags up.

No kitchen (just a communal kettle and microwave), could only fill water bottles in the bathroom taps. Room was very stuffy in the hot days, and the bathroom fan wasn't working so it got very humid inside.
Clean, very convenient location, helpful staff let me store my rental bike in the back yard. Excellent price.

It could more clean. The garden needs cleaning.
The price was very good for four persons in the room, only €28 almost in the heart of Brussels. The zuid midi station is very near 15 minutes walking max and this station is important for traveling to other cities as Gent, Bruges or Antwerp or Amsterdam. Very hot water 24hrs. It is quiet during night. There is elevator for all the floors and the check in is till late midnight and beyond till 00:30. There is reception 24 hrs and you can keep your luggage 🧳 for free.

The Wi-Fi didn't work in the rooms and, in the heat (32 degrees Celsius), the room was super hot, but other than that no complaints. It's a great place to stay on a budget and the staff are super helpful.
Great location, close to a train/tram stop and walkable distance to city centre and Brussels-Midi. It's clean, the shower works well, and you get a TV, which I didn't expect for a hostel!

The location around the hostel is pretty dodgy, but it’s only a 10 min walk to better areas. Water temperature of the shower was a bit hard to manage.
Clean rooms, beds were comfortable. It was great to have a window that you could open and get in some area. Close to train station and easy walk into centre.

The room is kinda stuffy without ventilation hole. The only way to breath through a room with 4 people is to open the window but it becomes cold quickly. And if there’s raining outside, the window’s frame will be wet
