One thing was especially inconvenient for us (as EV drivers in a car with some 300 km range), two things to remark if you are *especially* sensitive to sounds other than birds and rivers. The only problem we had was that the electric network of Sy (as a village) is to old to support high electric loads. There is not a single charging point for electric vehicles is the village. That state is unfortunately endemic for most of Belgium, meaning that finding a (working and available) charging post around Sy is not very easy either. Our go-to charger was in front of a supermarket at some 10 kilometers distance. The camping is at a quiet site, but the railway is just as close as the river. There are just two things I can think of that could be a problem if you're sensitive to those things. The railway station is just behind the camping, the train stop every half an hour I would guess. It is not a 24 hours a day service, and no high speed trains anyway. Secondly, the house is better insulated against sound than a tent, but one of the nights we could here the neighbouring family in the room other side of the wall. Again, not loud enough to complain (either with them or with the camping for bad isolation), and not loud enough to keep us from sleeping.

We had a nice stay for half a week. The camping as at the end of a cul-de-sac in a village that is itself not at a continuous road itself, so there is very little traffic. The cottage is in a corner of the camping, about 150 meters from the reception, 50 meters from the road, and some 150 meters from the river. Our rooms faced South-East, so the porch and garden were in full sun during breakfast. As far as noise is concerned: in the garden there is *some* sound of the river, but most sound is from bird calls. The mattresses and pillows are 'standard hotel'; we tend to take our own (feathered) pillows, because we can't stand the memory foam filled pillows (which is a general remark, not specific for our rooms here). The owner was most helpful and did his best to answer any question about the surroundings we could think of. We were pleasantly surprised by the floor warming in the rooms. There are some five parking places at 20 meters from the rooms, where we could find a free spot at any time. The parking in front of the property provides ample space in case it were full anyway.

Room was very hot (was a particularly hot week) but the small fan didn't help much for the heat. Bed linen was charged extra (8 euros pp which seem quite alot for something quite unusual). No towels. There is a coffee filter machine but no filters (would just be a finer touch). River level was very low so the photos advertising lots of kayaking was not really an option. With pros and cons was still a wonderful breakaway.

Nice location, close to the river, children's play area nearby, wonderful hiking trails, nice barbecue facilities outside. Campsite nearby was lovely for our son to make some friends. Durbuy and some of the other spots nearby are very beautiful. Train station nearby. Nice and quiet and relaxing. Food at the restaurant very well priced.

Due to this summer's floods, the restaurant was closed and since we didn't want to drive in the dark, our only option was to order a pizza from a village nearby. The pizzas were very good but took extremely long to arrive. This discomfort for us, however, is nothing compared to what the locals must have suffered.

Very quiet environment, in the middle of nature, perfect for relaxing. Friendly, very helpful and well organised host.

The location & the overall ambience of the entire property was very nice. Right in middle of the nature & very peaceful. Very good option for family get aways & to have a good family bonding & holiday. Would surely recommend & certainly will stay there again.

I did not like the cleanliness of the room, the rooms are not built in a way that protect them from unwanted creatures. There were spiders in the room and one of them bit me it was so painful but luckily it is not a poisonous one so i survived. also, i feel they did not put effort in cleaning the room so well. I love clean rooms but this one was maybe 5/10 they also do not have.a care taker service so if there is an emergency in the middle of the night, you have no one to help you despite being in the middle of nowhere

I loved the river, closeness to train station, receptionist, I liked the food(the best fries i have ever had. I also liked the way the rooms are cold despite the hot weather. It is also a nice area to hike
