The stairs were very steep for carrying luggage up to our room and there was no lift. Not a problem if you're young and healthy, but we were 70+ with medical issues.

The receptionist was friendly and helpful and the hotel was in a good location within an easy walking distance to the historical town center. Breakfast was also good.

The building is quite old but the room and bed are comfortable. The breakfast is quite basic. I guess this is because the hotel is quite small.

Spacious rooms, clean and facilities. Air conditioning in the rooms and daily cleaning. Iron provided and coffee and tea in the room.

We were allocated to a room that had incredible street noise. The receptionist was extremely helpful in changing us to a quieter room. The quality of the furnishings in both rooms was appalling. The same applies to the staircase and carpet.

The receptionist did indeed her best to make our stay bearable. Many Thanks to her.

The hotel could do with a spruce up some of the decor is a bit tiered in the main areas. The rooms are quirky and well maintained.

The hotel is located near the centre so just a short walk to see the attractions. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The on site parking is a must if you are driving.

Good location for visiting the Ghent sights - a few minutes walk to the Cathedral. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. It had a kettle, cups and glasses and a couple of chairs. Great for a few days stay. We were handed maps and tourism advice when we checked in.

The images on the site predisposed me for something more "elegant". The decoration is not breathtaking, nevertheless, the room was comfortable and clean.

It is perfectly located in the city centre, next to the Cathedral. Various amenities around. The staff was very helpful and kind at all times!

It could have used a bit of renovation in the stairs and halls but otherwise everything was fine.

Location was excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. Decor was not the most modern but comfortable and the Rooms were large.

The hotel is on the crossroad or two streets and the road is load, if you like to sleep with open windows Be rady - no lift in the building!

Our room was located next to the street were there was some construction work. Would request a quiet room for a next stay.

Based in the old city centre, the Hotel Cathedral was perfect for our 1-night stay in Ghent. The staff is very friendly and the room was clean and spacious. The bathroom is big and the water pressure in the shower is great. The bed was also comfortable. We were very happy to have private parking. The garage is located next to the hotel, and you can enter the hotel via the garage. We will definitely revisit!

The breakfast was super basic. Continental without any extras (fresh fruits, eggs, etc.) We had to book the parking because wasn't available when we got there.

Bedrooms were a bit run down with tired furnishings. Steep staircase with no lift. No reception when we arrived on Sunday evening.
