Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomBe aware there is no banister on the stairs. A car needed to access restaurants etc.
A nice house way up a hill if walking. Bedroom is large with a very comfortable double bed and a single. Wardrobe, table and chairs. Velux window for light and air. Bit stark with no paintings or photos. A tall bedside lamp was good. No tele. Tea/coffee making facilities on the landing with a mini bar with good priced Chimay or Jupilar beer and water and soft drinks. Shared shower room and separate toilet down the creaky stairs. Shower cubicle is big and shower good with plenty of hot water. Towels good. WIFI good. Breakfast (and my meal) is in their living room. Breakfast was plentiful with yoghurt, cereals, bread, butter and three homemade jams. Croissant and pan au chocolat. Orange juice and tea or coffee. The hosts are both lovely, friendly and helpful. She/they were kind enough to cook me an evening meal as no facilities in the village. You can have delivery pizza. Two nice dogs. Big back garden.

NetherlandsThere are small details that can be better. The facilities (shower, toilet) are not in the room, they're on the ground floor. The bathroom is shared with owners. It is nice but you need to be prepared to have it full with owner's stuff. Walls could be better soundproofed, we're clearly hear what our neighbours were talking about.
It is a nice family house with owners renting rooms on the 1st floor. Owners are friendly and caring. Helped us to book a nearby restaurant. Provided with all we need. The place is nearby to a nice motorcycle ride routes through Ardennes.

PolandI was put in a different room from the one I booked. 16 sq.m instead of 28. The size was not that much of a problem, but: The room i eventually got was unpleasant. There was an overwhelming musty smell which turned out to come from the bedding. The owners claim to change it for every visitor. Mine was definitely not fresh. I was not able to sleep in that linen. Had to open the window for a longer while. Turned over the materace and used a bare blanket which was somewhat less smelly. The towels had the same odour. There were private belongings of the owners in my room. The place is cheap, but I still think one does not get what they pay for.
Breakfast is ok. Pleasant common area.
