    The shower didn’t drain

Loved the ‘old world’ charm with all the lovely antique furniture and decor. It was in a quiet location and the staff was very friendly and informative The breakfast was excellent.

It was due for a renovation and a deep clean in nooks and cranny’s. But overal I liked it.

Very cute breakfast and very well done. The rooms are maybe not so very clean but i like the look of it. Lovely experience

Some things were very old, such as the the wooden windowframe in the bathroom showing signs of rotting and mould, squeeky floors and the old mattrass on the bed.

Beautiful building, old style, gorgeous furniture, look and feel. Friendly and helpful staff, breakfast buffet was extensive

Lovely hotel. Fantastic breakfast. Very easy (1 minute walk to the stop) to get a tram either into 'old' Gent or out to the railway station.

Very nice hotel but not cosy. Probably a bit expensive on hindsight and compared to expectations.

Much as it is a lovely hotel (the music playing in the reception and breakfast background was wonderful!) we found the hotel lacking "cosiness". the wooden floor boards in the bedrooms didnt add any warmth to the room and were quite noisy. the "area to sit and relax" was just a few chairs around a table - and again not really nice cosy ones, so there wasnt anywhere to sit apart from on the bed.

The breakfast was very nice, albeit it was the same every day though. Nice music playing in the background. The location was excellent - far enough away from hustle and bustle but close enough to cycle in to the centre quickly. The bed was a lovely size.

All minor issues which would not stop me from staying again: Lack of heating in communal area (no lounge only hall which was beautiful but freezing). Breakfast items often ran out and had to ask for top ups of many items, water not replaced in room, musty smell in bedroom (loft room).

Beautiful hotel, comfy bed, excellent quality of breakfast, lovely staff. Fabulous location.

it's an oldie style house, therefore the floors will squeak, the neighbors will be heard, the heating will be slow to act. I can imagine someone booking this and complain. My wife liked it and I'm not complaining :)

Fast check in, charming old style house with high ceilings & broad hallways, excellent breakfast, parking available - but you need to tell upfront, 5 min walk to city center, welcoming & helpful staff

    No bad experience at all.

Located near the city centre, all is at walking distance (or public transport). You don't need your car! Very cool hotel, charming as it says. The staff is very friendly and willing to help you anytime.

Lots of stairs if your room is up at the top, with no lift. We had not anticipated that my wife's knees were bad, but taken slowly there was no problem!

Superb buffet breakfast. Excellent location - easy to walk into Ghent centre. Very helpful staff and personal garage parking near hotel.

The stairs to the second floor were dark. There was no nonslip mat in the bathtub.

I loved the old timber and the homely feel of the lobby. I loved the buffet breakfasts. I loved that I could open the windows. The bed was super comfortable. I loved the old furniture in the room. The staff were super helpful! Close to the tram stop.

The hotel parking was full and had to pay from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. for onstreet parking. Check-in is from 4 p.m.
