Everything was a tad dingy. Downstairs it was smelly. The kids (8 & 11) were a bit creeped out because of the ‘spooky’ vibes of the place.

Friendly and helpful staff. Our flight was delayed and we arrived around midnight, and a warm meal awaited us - home made and delicious.

The bathroom in our room was a bit uncomfortable, with only curtains for privacy.

The building is so elegant, tastefully decorated. The garden is peaceful and inviting. The room is spacious. The breakfast is spectacular. Philippe the host is kind and helpful.

The smell in the room and in the hotel was terrible, everything is old, the sheets smelled strange and didn't seem to be clean, the towels too... I'm sorry for the kindness of the host, but the location is terrible. I don't understand how such a property can have such a high rating.

At Chateau you feel like time travel. Nice surroundings. Great and helpful host. Airport shuttle available, although walk is also nice (50 min). My recommendations!

There was so much to look at in the Chateâu... It felt authentic as if we had gone back in time… Set in a gorgeous garden above Charleroi, with a real goose doorbell. There’s parking & a bike storage space. We were treated so well by the staff.

this property has character , it is a beautiful 200 year old building and I loved it ! Phillip the host was outstanding , and goes out his way to make you very welcome ! we won’t talk about his own brand beer…. it is to die for !! although the bedrooms may be not to everyone’s taste, I certainly enjoyed the stay and slept well. I think more people should support individuals like this venue rather than lining the pockets of chains

Excellent landlord and excellent ubication. We arrived late for just one night and Philip welcomed us very friendly. Amazing house, good dinner and after 8 hours car right I was happy to sit in a big chair in the cozy entrence hall with a good red wine. The kids had fun in the "Queensroom" in the funny London-Bus-Bed :-) we slept all very well in the big comfortable bed. All very authentic. THANK YOU PHILIP FOR THE VERY GOOD STAY.

Zero privacy , the toilet and bath cabin which are in the room is a really strange for me. With all my respect to the landlord who is really good man the property is dusty. I thing may be with some investment and more staff it can be a nice place

Not much to be honest, it’s not a 5 star hotel but that’s part of its charm.

Nothing, Everything is good. Ask for bigger towels if you need them

It is a cute old building like some old castle. The owners are very helpful and nice. We arrived late and they anyway sent us a shuttle to the CRL airport. The airport is close but you do not hear it at all. The location is great for visiting the castles and the caves of Wallonia. Ask the owners for advice:) The breakfast is good (cheers, sausages, bread and homemade jams). One day we asked for the dinner and got very tasty famous Belgian mussels and fries for us and tasty spaghetti bolognese for our daughter.
