How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It's located in walking distance to most attraction in town. Also, staff members are friendly, room is clean and equipped what we need! also hotel have laundry room which I could use credit card payment.

Nothing we didn't like. Even though when we (English) did think about at first that there wasn't a kettle or cups in the room. But then we realised there was a communal kitchen on the ground floor that everyone could use. A fridge that everyone can use. a Microwave that everyone could use. The property provide even labels for guests to label their perishables in the fridge. It now feels all very sensible and efficient and less waste. As a result, the property manage to maintain comparatively lower cost per night, which works.
Everything. We loved this place. It is so no-nonsense and no waste of facilities most travellers don't need when they are out about all day. It is super convenient to walk everywhere, right in the middle amongst the central station, the diamond square, the meir and old city of Antwerp, but not getting the over touristy busyness of the all. Just love it. Will only stay there when I go to Antwerp again.

The vendor machine was often not working. Which is managed by a third party...
Location is on the border of the good and lees good neighbourhood. Not too far from the station. And shopping nearby.

Very nice and modern hotel. Great location to visit the city. The city centre is in walking distance, and if you want to go further away you can rent a bicycle (everywhere in the city). There is a small kitchen to be used by guests, and you can have breakfast at the indoor coffe-bar. Nice and clean rooms, nice bathroom, and hardly any noise from outrside the hotel. A parking garage is less than 50 meters away.

My sister and I booked this for a recent concert in Antwerp - the hotel is basic, but beautiful and incredibly well located in the city center. We loved our comfortable stay, and the price is unbeatable. Would definitively recommend for a weekend in Antwerp for a couple or with a friend.

I left my phone adaptor near the main bed. Wish I slept in a single bed, NOT a bunk bed. Myfriends who are a couple has of course to sleep in the main bed.
The staff was helpful. The coffee shop downstairs for breakfast offer great variety for breakfast.

This one blew our hats off. It was a bit of walk from the metro but well worth it. It's a hostel but sooo much better. Our room was located on the ground floor but has a view of the garden. Very large, lots of spaces, we actually had room to open our suitcases! Room was nicely decorated, bed was comfortable, no TV but that's fine. A lot of electrical sockets that we were able to charge all our devices simultaneously. They also have a laundromat on second floor, 1.5Euro for drying and 4Euros to wash a load. Kitchen facilities are available on the ground floor, where guests can eat, reheat food and use the fridge. There's a vending machine for drinks. You can also watch tv and play pingpong. Lots of seating areas. You can also leave your luggage on their storage area. Very safe as it requires an access card anywhere else past the reception desk.

However, there were a few areas where the hotel could improve. Information about available amenities was scarce; for example, we were not informed about the onsite parking. Consequently, we parked far from the hotel and had to haul our luggage a considerable distance. Additionally, the room lacked basic provisions such as complimentary water and a coffee machine, which was inconvenient. My stay was further disrupted by early morning construction noise. Maintenance work, especially involving loud machinery like drills, would be better scheduled for the afternoon to minimize disturbance to guests.
I recently stayed at city box which boasted a prime location and exceptionally friendly staff. It was a lovely surprise to be upgraded upon arrival, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night’s rest.

The only little thing would be the water pressure of the shower + took very long before the cold turned into hot water in the morning. That said, this minor inconvenience didnt drag us down from enjoying this beautiful hotel!
Location, design and the comfy beds just made it a great experience! 24h receptionist + easy check in/out also helped

The breakfast is delicious, the staff are very friendly and welcoming, the room is nice and cozy, the bed is very comfortable and the hotel itself is in a very convenient location which is very walkable to do some sight seeing.

Nothing. But I would add small regregirator (for a beer cooling 😁). Also there was no TV in the room, but it did not chnage our stay to be great.
Very cozy place to stay. Self check in and check out. Big room and windows with view on the street. Near city center.
