Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe car park is easy to find, but cost us 26 Euros for over night parking. The room we stayed in was very large and perfect, but no TV, but that wifi was good.
We found the property very easily found, just off the main road that runs parallel with the river. Tobias was a perfect host. Very friendly and very helpful. The location was better than expected, literally across the road from the big Christmas market by the river 100 meters away. Just a 2 minute walk and you are in the main square and the magnificent architecture just took your breathe away. Absolutely magical place with some of the best detailed ancient buildings I have ever seen.

NetherlandsThe sleeping pillows were a little bit small for my liking, however it did not bother me that much.
Really, an easy method to perform the check-in. The location is perfect, nicely in the city centre — without the typical city night noise. Tobias is a friendly host. The room is beautiful. The beds are comfortable, though the pillows were a bit small for me, however that is is personal preference; besides I am quite big so I reckon this won't be a problem. Everything was really clean and the shower is amazing, can highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic apartment just around the corner from the main square but on a quiet street. The room was big and spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed. Tobias was even nice enough to check the trains for us as there was a strike on the day we were leaving. We loved antwerp and when we go back I will definitely stay here again.

BrazilThe buiding has no elevator, BUT the host brought up our luggage :). No parking available on the street. Suggestion: make a little space on ground floor with a microwave oven cause many people like to bring food and warm it up.
Large bedroom, large bathroom, excelent bed, modern access system (electronic locker w/ password), near from centre (but quiet do sleep), air conditioning.

New ZealandI wish more hotels, air bnbs and apartments included a wine corkscrew. I know Belgium is the beer capital, and a bottle opener is great and included, but occasionally I want wine. The only real negative was the noise inside the building. You can hear every conversation and movement in the stairwell and doors opening and closing, especially if people leave early. To be fair, Tobias mentioned that they will soon be doing some sound proofing improvements to remedy this.
Communication with Tobias was great, he's super helpful and prompt. Very good value for money. The studio is spacious, modern, immaculately clean and comfortable. The shower was nice and hot and strong. The location is good, only a short stroll through to the old town, squares etc. I arrived at Antwerp Central and took a metro to GroenpIaats and it was about 10 minutes walk from there which was ok with just carryon but if you had more maybe take a taxi as it's all cobblestones. I appreciated the coffee pod machine and water bottle (although I prefer still not sparkling, a minor detail 🤣) The studio is very big so maybe a little mini fridge would also be awesome. I loved the Antwerp photography coffee table book, super cool. Definitely recommended and would stay again if in Antwerp

LuxembourgThe soundproofing could be improved because you can hear the other guests coming in/going. A small bluetooth speaker or a TV in the room would be appreciated.
Small hotel in a very central location. The check-in process was easy. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, nicely designed and equipped with all the basics.

NetherlandsA minor thing, but you can hear other customers come in and go out in the hallway very clearly. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs
An amazing location close to all you need - and only 20 minutes by foot from the museums in the Zuid neighbourhood. The room was larger than expected, very comfortable when travelling by myself - and would be with someone else!
