I thought that the design felt a bit formulaic and lacked boutique hotel authenticity. Some of the cartoons are better than others but I wasn't keen on the ones in my particular room. The breakfast room feels very bland and commercial and the breakfast buffet itself was only 'average' in my view and rather expensive for what was on offer. THe lighting controls in the bedrooms are easy to use when you have worked them out, but it might be good if the reception staff mentioned when you check in that it is all controlled on the panel with the air con controls.

Great quiet location in nice area close to the centre of the city and conmvenient for sightseeing. Nice helpful friendly staff.

A very modern quirky hotel that was in a quieter area opposite the river but only a 5 min walk into the centre. It was immaculately clean and rooms had everything one would need. The staff were welcoming and friendly.

The room was quiet, clean, and felt very luxurious. Breakfast was soooooo good!!! Lots of choices from fresh fruit, variety of coffee and tea selections, cheeses, cereal, and made to order eggs too! Pleasant dining space and opportunity to meet other guests. The staff was especially helpful--keeping our bags for us and guiding us back to the train station. Honestly, we were delighted with everything from the comfort of the bed, the helpful staff, and the location.

Breakfast was a bit too expensive (25£\person) so we didn’t do it. The bed was a bit short for us, but comfortable.

Very close to Ghent centre, very clean room, nice bathroom and shower, and with lots of conforms (like sleepers, vanity kit and sewing kit). The bed was also comfortable.

The Comic Art Hotel is a fun place to stay - interesting comics based art work and modern decor, and a great staff. Located very close to the Ghent attractions (but far enough away from the crowds and noise), it’s a great place to stay in Ghent.

The bed was quite firm (just a personal preference), and the rooms were not super soundproof, but these were both super minor things.

Great location just outside the city center. Easy walk to everything, but quiet and away from the noise. Clean, comfortable, overall great stay especially for the price point.

A modern hotel in a good location close to the castle. Easy walking distance to the centre of Ghent. Very clean room with comfortable large bed. Shower was a good size but was inside the room and separate to the toilet. Overall a good hotel with modern comfort and lovely staff.

The breakfast is great, but perhaps a bit on the expensive side. The view from our room wasn't exactly spectacular, but that's just bad luck - this happens sometimes.

Fantastic hotel for this price, in a great location close to the city centre. Unique theming with the comics style, I love it a lot. Every floor has its own unique comic theme. The staff is very friendly. The room was very clean and the beds super comfortable. The bathroom was nice and clean as well.

The square pillows were awkward as we didn't find them big enough for changing sleep positions comfortably. Also, there was no separate light for the bathroom so it was all lights on or dark. We found this strange but managed ok.

My room was a bit small, isolated, at the ground floor, the windows looking to the inner court. Maybe a good idea to give more infos about each room location, and to have for each client posibility to select floor/size/etc.

The concept, the location, the staff - are lovely, friendly, helpful. I am big fan of old comics, and it was a real pleasure to meet some old friends in the interior decorations of Comic Art Hotel. Absolutely clean, very good service.

One of the drawbacks of white walls is that you see scuff marks immediately. The room we were in had several of them. Other than that there is really nothing to complain about.

The Comic Art Hotel is situated about 5 mins walk away from the main attractions in Gent. You cannot park at the hotel so need to use one of the public car parks. We used Ramen P8 which is about 10 mins away and cost 26.50 Euros for two days. The rooms in the hotel were nice although some only have a curtain in front of the bathroom. We had problems with the air conditioning in one room but this was resolved very quickly by the excellent staff at the hotel. The employees are one of the greatest assets of the hotel, always friendly and extremely helpful. In addition to that the breakfast was outstanding, I have never had so much choice. You can order omelet or pancakes as well.
